Re: REDitor (Current v. 0.6.1). Poll added. Vote, please.

Go for the more detailed edition in height! that adds greater realism! That's why I always go for the metric system to make minor but super realistic tweaks to player's heights. It would be nice to have this ala NBA 2K9 editor where you could set a player's height to 203.7 for example for a player who is a tad taller than 6-8.

agree. the metric system is much more accurate than feet and inches

I'll try to check this out.
About payment: yes, thx again for the donation ;) I've recieved it. I answered you in MSN.

titopastrana, that is why it's called ??BTSmth?? :D I don't know, what this one stands for.

Guys, I've added a poll. Please, choose what you want. I suppose, I'll release another minor update before 0.7

hmm... that's interesting. Gonna check this.
But how did you manage to put Robinson from legends to an NBA team? You put him instead of some other player?

Vl@d, i hope you can also make this editor compatible with association files just like Hades and the Mini Editor from 2k9 so that we can assign cfs to the draft class. Thanks.

last year you can just sign them to an NBA team within the game. I havent tried it in 2k10 but I assume it still works

yes it works to just assign him to teams but his age is unlimited and that doesnt really work in association when he is really 34 :/

My little plan:
The next version will be 0.7 - now working on it. It will include a couple of cool features from me to make editing very easy. It will most likely include some teams' options editable too.
In 0.8 I'll try to decode more of the header. So, I'll finish with players' editing (including editing their career stats :) also emotions, college, etc.). The reason I delay the release of this is because formulas of emotions and college also depend on the file's header. Also I'll include some new team options to be edited here. Maybe it will be also possible to add/delete players, teams, etc.
0.9 - hmm... no exact plan yet. It will depend on what I find during the creation of 0.8 and what isn't released in 0.8.
1.0 - so, after about 80-90% of the file is editable, I'll add support of other file-types (MyPlayer, DraftClass, Association, CustomTeam, etc.).

0.7 will be published not earlier than in 1,5 weeks. And I'll also try to release 0.8 before my exams start. So, probably, nothing will be released since 15th of December till the beginning of February, as I wish to succeed with my session. :)

PS: Thx to everybody for the feedback.

so, I was attempting to create the NCAA roster and 2 problems with the Bank of names

#1, it would be great if we could multi cell copy/paste just like the regular spreadsheet area

and #2, I just went though and updated all of the character numbers for the bank of names (to change the length of the names), just finished doing that for all of my 700+ names in the NCAA mod, and ended up with -11. I trimmed a few other names and got that to 0 and properly saved. When I went into the game to test it, all of the team names and player names were all messed up, but it loaded up without crashing.

Just wondering what I did wrong?

OK, I'll add this in the next release. ;)

For now, you can't change length of anything except player names and surnames, because this leads to messing up.

Jao, just put down original lengths for all the team names, and everything will be normal again.

Changing length of team names will be released in 0.8

There is a filter for files in Editor. It shows only *.ROS files.
So, these are the files you can open.

Please make sure we can also assign assistant coaches to other teams, both as assistants or head coaches. For eg. I'm working on retro rosters and would like to have Phil jackson and Jim cleamons as the coaching staff for the early 90's Bulls, but also would like to assign Del Harris (Bulls assistant coach) as the head coach of the early 90's Bucks.

Anyone knows how the game calculates overalls?
Is there a way to see that in the editor?

Re: REDitor (Current v. 0.6.1). Poll added. Vote, please.

Don't know about that.
Of course, I can find out the proper formula. But it will be a great waste of time for me, I suppose, because I have so much other work to do with the Editor... maybe someone else can find the formula?

PS: For sure, there are 5 formulas: for each position.
