[Kova] 2011 Rosters RELEASED! (17.08.2010)

mate I don't know how could there be problem with Cunningham, Seraphin and Rodman, because I didn't change their CFs since the 1st I updated them in previous versions.. Only Seraphin I think.. It could be if Mr.Xcitement changed their portraits, but I don't think he would do that.. Try to see if you have Cunningham CFs in your 2k10 folder.. It's made 16.3.2010. It's png1491.iff, and it hasn't changed..
Seraphin is png410, and it's definitely included in the download link. I just checked.

Cunningham has a brighter arm then his body seraphin looks like Arroyo and Rodman is not Rodman:)
Maybe The protraits V5 occurs these problems....or i dont know, or im just noob

sambarca, the crashes happens just in march, i was reading this problem over here, cuz i downloaded and installed the update last days but dont start play the game yet, and i see the post about crashes and just start make sim here to check if my game got this problem. i try about 5 teams already and all crashed.

I got portraits, its all ok, but rookies have wrong cf, is this roster got real rookies cf? What i do wrong i put all files from first page. For example i check Wall cf id in reditor and its 1596 is that correct? In game he got bad cf. Favors from NJN got cf of rapstar The Game.

but the portraits are ok, i talk about cf.

This job of making a perfect roster is very hard, because there you have CF makers who make CFs, you have portraits makers who make portraits, you have shoes makers who make shoes.. I make rosters, and I have to collect all the other works like portraits, Cfs and apply it to roster to synchronize everything that is offered on this forum.. And that is very hard to do.. Thats why it gets complicated after so many updates..

I'm sure I'll be working on 2k11, so I'll try to make it somewhat easier there..

Just a Question and Suggestion: Is it possible to use png7000.iff - png8000.iff range for the rookies?
or png9000.iff - png9999.iff range for the legends?

Yes it's possible, but then you won't have portraits.. Because you can change portraits only on players who have portraits from the beggining..

all these people who have problems need to read..

I dont want to disturb anybody, but can sb tell me step by step the installation?
i"VE MADE A FRESH INSTALL and patched to 1.1!
I'm not going to install shoes court patch and so on, just wanna make a "virgin" gameplay with kova roster!
If its not crashing, in ASS mode that will be fine!
I know that i have to read 1st page but i want to know step by step!

I got mine to work right by just copy and pasting everything to 2k10 folder..
I dunno why it doesn't work right for the others though..

look at your 2k10 folder.maybe the ones you copied are still in another folder.you might want to put that to that 2k10 folder and not in the folder IN the 2k10 folder.

Wow, this is getting out of control.. Some people have constant problems with CFs, for some (including me) everything works fine.. The crashes are not about pngs, because the ones that have -1, don't have their CF. It's simple as that.. I don't know what the reason for crashes could be.. Obviously something is wrong with Memphis team.. Does anyone have problem with any other team?

I released so many rosters and updates for 2k10 so far, I can't even remember how many.. Everytime in order to improve it, I have to include some more CFs, and with every version of Mr.Xcitement's portraits (5!!), I have to change pngs of some players..

This is really getting out of control, and everytime there's more and more people who have trouble because they haven't done something properly.. Just to let you know, in 3 days, I have over 1200 downloads for this roster.. I had releases with over 2500 downloads.. Thats a lot of people if you ask me..
Now its just hard when every time more and more people have some new problems.. There are just too many files now, and it's too complicated for everyone..
I will release one last update on this roster in a about a week or so, and this will be my last roster update for NBA 2k10.. Not like something big will happen between now and begging of the season anyway.. Except some minor FA signings and some trades..

You can't chastize people who are having problems. Everyone's computer setup and hardware are different. It's not always about reading the instructions correctly. Nobody is dumb on here, but on the otherhand, it should be cut and dried that the installation process should be simple. I've read where a lot of people had no problem with the CF's using
Alby's rosters as opposed to Kova's

to others that are having problems using kova's patch try cleaning up your nba 2k10 and install only kova's patch without any other patch maybe that cause the crash you all are having

Who said it was a argument? I'm pointing out that it's not as simple as some make it to install these CF's and portraits. I sure as hell wish it would work on my system, but it doesn't.

I know how to make this patch work if it isn't!!
Go to you nba 2k10 folder (in program files) and press right click on: "nba2k10.exe" ,and choose something with "previous versions" (I don't know how to say it in english).
Then press on "Compatibility" (Again, i dont sure how to say it in english), tick the first box and choose: "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)".
Press on OK, and U good to go!!

m8 did you simulate the old association that was crashing or a new one?
I remember that i've made a few simulations when kova release the free agency roster and wasnt crashing, the problem is when you play for real a few weeks, and then simulates to see if it crash.
I've made a fresh install, and the association that was crashing is still crashing.
The only thing i keep is the saves folder, maybe is some file from there i will try deleting configuration.cfg for example.
I have windows 7 x64, nba2k10 steam version and i install all kova required files, and the last rookies updates of koresh_NIK.
As it dont crash in my brothers computer, when that date comes, i will email him the association so he simulates for me and send me back the file . It's not a glamorous solution but it works

i dont understand so good for english, but i can't install that patch of 2ksports from about 20 march 2010 that says about correct some bugs, for the kova roster? if its then i gonna reinstall my nba again.
