Low End PC, any performance mods to help play?

Hey guys, I just got back into the console gaming market w/ the new Slim 360, but I still have my copy of NBA 2k10 for the PC. All I have since I sent my desktop away is a HP Pavilion DV2700. Overall, the specs aren't too bad, other than the video card.
Intel Core 2 Duo 1.83Ghz
300GB 7200RPM HD
3GB DDR2 Memory
Integrated Intel 965 Mobile Graphics card w/ Shared memory (up to 384MB)
I am currently playing the game, and am trying to use the 91-92 mod on the forums. It'll play fine w/ player models on Medium, and all other settings on low. But in order to get the stadiums, I have to have arena's to HIGH. When I do that, the game becomes unplayable.
Any suggestions to help get around this? Are there any mods to maybe get rid of crowds, or other things that would cause the game to come to a crawl?
