Is there anybody interested in helping me out creating a Music Editor for 2k10. or at least gain acess to the Bin Files ?.
I think if a few people would team up to create one, this thing could be done !!!

again, corret me if i'm wrong, but my brother told me there's that toll which is called "dragon unpacker" which is able to extract bin files, he used it go gain acess to some old beating up game but in order to work with it you have to figure out which sound type / file format is in the bin file

Jao, have you tried to use that Decompressor for IFFs on jukeboxmusic.bin before opening the file with Audition?
It looks like to be the same format, but archived.
Sat May 22, 2010 1:34 am
no i haven't tried that, but I dont think it will work since the decompressor doesnt work on all iff files, so it def wont like a bin

Still, an effort isn't a torture )))
I'll try to decompress it with some standart archive-types.

oh im still going to try, im at work so i cant do anything here, im just expressing some doubt

Somebody had been able to change the music in MLB 2k10, but he did not give any details on how to do it.

AAAAAH good god by "murphys law" why didn't he explained how to do it haha.. this freaks me out now

Yeah, it was done by some Korean guy...
Actually, it's not wise to keep this secret. Whether tell everyone how to do this, or, if you wish to have some profit, make a non-freeware editor...
I hope, that secret will come public in a couple of days (weeks).

if we know the file format we can extract it with dragon unpacker

BIN files can be anything, I'm sure anything that can edit other bin files won't be able to edit the ones in 2K10. it's basically an abbreviation for "binary". It's about as generic as the "DAT" file extension.
I did some hex editing and converted a music mp3 I had to several different formats and I could hear the pre-game loading screen music but with major distortion by using the IMA ADPCM WAV compression at 16bits Stereo 44,100 Khz.
MLB2K10 uses the same format as NBA2K9 for the jukebox, it's just that the settings were a bit different, so that's a no-go.

That's great!i hope smobody can help you!

If it was don in MLB that means there is a high possibility it can be done in NBA2K10 also. Too bad they never revealed the tool used to do that.

I wish I could help on this cause this is the editor I want the most.
I wouldn't know where to start if I were to help. I have ProTools and Cakewalk Sonar.

Okay i was able to View some of the BIN Files via Dragonunpacker.
Dragonpacker has a tool with the name of Hyperripper.
It comes with dragonunpacker.
Hyperripper searches the file for known patterns !
It worked with the Lines.Bin and some other Bin files.
Go to
http://www.elberethzone.net/ to get Dragonunpacker and don't forget to run Hyerripper.
With out hyperripper which you don't have to install, it comes with Dragonunpacker your able to find out
at least some of the Data formats inside the Bin files and extract them

It assumes those are 669 files(extended module files), yet no player capable of playing 669 files can play them.
