Post Move Animation ?

Wed May 12, 2010 9:20 pm

Its just me or not ? I feel the post move animation in NBA 2k9 was much better, much wilder, than 2k10's.

is there any reason why 2k remove the 2k9 post move animation in 2k10 ?

thank you

phpBB [video]

As Iverson said, "PRACTICE?!"

(Both post-patch)
The post moves in 2K10 are much simpler to do but harder to implement in executing it properly in order to score, which should be the case imo because it's really hard to score in the post irl.
While in 2K9 the moves are harder to do but once you get familiar with it it is pretty easy to score inside.
I prefer the reactive post animations in 2K10, just more random to me.

^nah, i dont have any problem to score in the post. Actually, its very easy for me because as a Back-to-Back Center at my player, i do post move in any single possesion i had,. also, i can block opponent post move shot

i just asking about the animation, post defense especially i refer to.
2k10's post defense animation really simple & unrealistic compared to 2k9.,

but thank you for your video. Watching now.

I agree with the post defense animations. In 2K9 you can control (with the lock on D) on what angle you want to 'shift the weight' of your defender against the post player on offense, giving you better position while in between the moments the player backs down against you all the while maintaining your post defense stance but in 2K10 once the player starts to back down against you, you're stuck in one angle only and if you try to change your angle, the defender you are controlling will give up his post defense stance giving the offensive player a significant time to be open for a shot or back down some more.

Also, turn off (set to zero) the defensive assist in the controller settings, imo having that turned on causes a bit less control on your defender or some skating when the assist kicks in.
