Yeah, I`d like to know that, too.

I used Calvin`s Serge Ibaka and Wes Matthews and his CF`s had some portraits of a kid (instead Matthews) and unknown guy (Ibaka). It was easy to put their real portraits instead of these, but many players are still "ghosts". How can I link any CF with some portrait? I hate those gray headshapes...
I tried with IFF/CDF studio, found that, for example, Marko Jarić`s pic (ex-Grizzlie) is number 299, but his CF is not iff_299. I tried with REditor, change values, but it became worst than it was. I hope someone knoes how to do it, maybe Calvin knows, but I don´t know how to contact him...

Yes it is easy if created player already have any kind of portrait. Here`s what happened when I put Calvin`s Wes Matthews and Serge Ibaka:

And with some help IFF/CDF editor, it became like this:

Problem is how to link some "grey ghosts" to some pictures (there are so many "weird" people in portraits.cdf) ???

I don't know portrait's linkage in CDF studio.

In REDitor it's easy: Portr_CF_ID = XXX of pngXXX.iff file. And, for sure, changing this value will also change protrait together with CF (some guys still think, that I put inside REDitor 2 parameters as one - it is wrong, there is the only one number, stored inside the Roster file, and this number stands for both CF and Portrait).
So, CFs and Portraits are linked. But you should probably ask jor1980 for how he's made the linkage in CDF Studio...

Right, that's what we were trying to seek answer. The tutorial made by jor1980 seems a bit odd but outstanding. An example like Michael Jordan having an iff file of png1677.iff but his portrait ID is 336. I just don't understand why the numbers are not the same. By looking into the textures present in protrait.iff, it only has texture0 - 999. I can't add portrait for created players on portrait.cdf using the IFF editor. I have created a player with Portr_CF_ID = 3030, but somehow this isn't being added to the original portrait files.

If using pngxxxx.iff (face), how do we edit the portrait (ghost) for created players? I hope someone will be able to enlighten us about this. @Vl@d Zola Jr., thank you sir and you have a very helpful tool. (Y)

You need to give the created player a Portr_CF_ID of an existing player who has a portrait. Swap the ID of the real player and your created player, then find the portrait of the real player and put yours there.

I suggest trying to find someone from Team 2K, or 2K China, or some other fictional team.

@damonrulz, that is a nice trick sir. Still, not the answer that we're looking for. But for now, that will do the job. Thank you sir. (Y)

Mr @jor1980, please help us if you're roaming around this forum. Thanks and more power to this site. :D

If you made the file for the portraits and named it as a unique number (one that's not used by the game) and then used this number in the editor, would that work?

No because there are only 999 portraits and there is no visble link between the png number and the portait number
