From those specs we don't know the speed of the processor. Also, you are playing with an integrated graphics card, and they are never very good.

If you are getting lag and don't mind lowering the resolution, then do it. Bring everything down to low and then see how it runs. If it runs good, then increase settings to what's comfortable.

If you don't mind lowering the resolution, then why didn't yuo just try that on your own, instead of asking about it? :)

Basically, it comes down to you not having a gaming rig which is gonna make the game suffer.

That is the problem, you have an integrated graphics chip.

Set all video settings to low in the game. If it's playable, slowly start turning the options up one at a time until it becomes laggy, then go back to the settings you had just before the lag. If you still experience a low frame rate with everything at the minimum settings.

I just realized the Inspiron 1545 is a laptop. Make sure your power is plugged in and you are not running off the battery. Turn off the power saving features while you are playing. You cannot upgrade to a videocard on that laptop, unfortunately.

Maybe you can contact Dell for an upgrade/exchange for one that is better with games.
