hey, I'm new to this whole patching/modding thing. I've been following these forums for a couple months now, but just now decided to try using some of these patches.

The problem is, I have no idea how to do it..can anyone help me out?

Is is necessary to download all of the editing tools that are on here?

If you want to use patches from here (new stadiums/courts, jerseys, cyberfaces etc), you just need to put them in your main NBA 2k10 folder. But remember to backup original files for these patches first (in case if anything goes wrong), because with these new ones, you have to overwrite the default ones.

So all I have to do is replace the official file with the downloaded version of the same file, and that's it?

like using winrar to open zip or rar files and extract the files inside of them

Yeah I can handle all that.
So with the replacing of files; is it as simple as it sounds? Just replace it, and start the game?

yep, just make sure you backup your original files by renaming them or something

Here's something for you.

INSTRUCTIONS:
.Extract the files you downloaded into a FOLDER.
.Look at the FILES you extracted in the FOLDER.
.Go to your NBA2k10 folder and CUT the files that has the same file names that you have extracted.
.Paste it on another FOLDER (rename that folder to "backupfiles". and don't forget where to find this folder!).
.Copy & Paste the FILES THAT YOU EXTRACTED in the FOLDER to your NBA 2k10 folder.
.Play the GAME.

Ok. Thanks! Just tried out a few patches last night to make sure it worked, and it did.

Now, how do I put one of these amazing Michael Jordan's on there?
