i have a problem, well im new here i have two questions please:

1- i have nba 2k10 and i have one gamepad it works well but when i when to play online (i tryed to play two times) it dont works what is the cause.
2- nba 2k10 needs steam to play online? i have an account i,m kanivalaceo

when the game first starts, press start on the gamepad instead of pressing enter, also check to make sure that your user profile is tied to your controller and not your keyboard, there is a menu for that

why are you asking if you need steam for online play when you are claiming to have an issue with your controller when playing online?

thank you for reply, i ask for steam because i read one post with the names of steam users and i think that steam is needed to play, sorry.
but, how i chek if my user profile is tied to my controller. the problem is when i go to select a team to play a tournament online when the computer ask me if this is the team i like then the gamepad not runs and i must use the mouse to select yes i dont understand, because if i play with the computer with my username i play with the gamepad, you understand me man?, is a shit i buy the gamepad the same day i buy the game.

Jao, can you please expand on the bolded. I am not able to get my game pad to work online. I'm tired of quitting games and ppl thinking I'm an a**hole.

richmond the problem is that not all the gamepads works online, i don´t know if that problem is going to be fixed.

kanival, I think I figured out the problem.

when you first start 2k10, do NOT press ENTER on your keyboard.

press a button on your gamepad. which button? I'm not sure, it varies depending on the manufacturer. I have a logitech rumblepad, and I have to press button 11.

but once you do this, your game pad should work online.

lol, I tried it, just that "start" button didn't do anything with my gamepad... but the #8 button did.

u should start a NLSC group on Steam so it's easier to organize games.

Hi Jaosming, i also have the same problem in regards to the usb gamepad not working. my gamepad is recognized but not as the primary controller.how do i change the primary controller from keyboard to usb gamepad?

in 2k9, and with my experience with 2k10 all you need to do is press a button, usually start but it could be something else, on the controller to start the game at the first screen instead of pressing enter or something on the keyboard

richmond my gamepad works online but the problem is that if i play online i need to play with the keyboard too, i can´t play with the gamepad only. i try to start the game with the keyboard unplugged but is not the solution, you can play online only with the gamepad?

when you choose your teams for online play, the game thinks you have 2 controllers plugged in, a controller, and the keyboard.

what you need to do is press either left or right on your keyboard and center your second controller (the keyboard) in the middle so only the gamepad is being used ingame
