It's not about the points scored, guys, it's about the style of play.

When Kobe scored 81 pts, did he score 75 of them in the Paint? NO

The key is to play superstars as they play in real life- When Wade starts being doubled he trusts his teammates and they get open shots. When Kobe plays he scores a lot more points shooting Js than laying it up and in. LeBron is just a all around and round and round player, which means he can do A LOT of stuff and he DOES a lot in the game, rather than just drive inside all game long.

When people play, they play to win, no matter how, and that makes them cheese. Me? I play for those moments when there's a few seconds left and you take a shot, "all or nothing", because that is the most fun part of the game, both the video game and real life.

Of course you can adjust your defense to any offense, and you will see positive results.

Either way these people are not fun to play against, because either LeBron will score 100 pts in the paint, or the guy will quit. And that's the point of this thread, to point out people who are not fun to play with in this game

Adapt to your opponents style of play, regardless of what it is and what team they choose. Ultimately, it's up to YOU to decide whether to play out the game. If you don't like your opponent, disconnect and look for a new match otherwise "man-up" and deal with it.

What? Your suggestion if you don't like your opponent's play style is to disconnect? Like QUIT? Damn! That's being a sore loser just like penny32 in the list. I hope that's not you. IMO, when you play online, you don't quit. Always man up even if you're down by let's say, 40 points. I'd rather finish the game and complain afterwards rather than quit right then and there. That's why NBA 2K10 has a feedback system after every online match. That's what it is for- to finish the game and give feedback to the opponent. If I could post screen shots or video caps on there, I'd take the time to do so. I only disconnect voluntarily when the game hasn't started yet and my FPS is only 15. Many others whom I would have played online against do the same. But QUIT? No way!

And what do you mean by adapt? Like if my opponent cheeses, I should cheese too? Otherwise, if you wanna talk about your excellent and "PRO" defensive strategies when playing online, then I suggest that you to create a new thread about it. You and gabolifal should have many things to discuss regarding that topic.

I have problem can't play online, don't see anybody in lobby. Can you help me with my problem? I want to play against you

HInts:

1. If your opponent is using 1 player lock:
INBOUND
- practice the inbound plays in situation mode, and see what plays can get you off your defender.
- if you are the one inbounding the ball, use your "left joystick" to left or right and use "icon pass" dont pass to your PG ALL THE TIME!
- if you cant inbound the ball in 5 sec, call timeout (and sub players that are good ball handlers and passers)
PAINT
- Alternate you defence to 2-3 or 3-2
- Defend the paint all the time with Dwight, Yao and Stoudamire
- Set Double Team "ALWAYS" on his PLAYER
- Use your best defender to guard him
- Use quick defenders
- Use Tall Players
- Defend the 3pts line 20% to make him spread his passes. (3pt shots are 40% likely to go in if contested)

ALTERNATIVE
- Use 1 player lock on him
- Use Kobe to Guard him
- Use Dwight to guard the PAINT using 1 player lock.
- OR DONT PLAY WITH HIM

No idea who it was i played online the other day i was just happy that the person didnt go straight to the Cavs or Lakers !

I went with my Knicks and he picked the Nets , i thought cool nice rivalry lets do it !

Finished the game losing by 8 , i knew he had shot alot with Devin Harris and made them but i didnt realize till i looked at the boxscore that he took 30 of the Nets 55 shots !

It was only later when i thought about it all the other shots he took were either wide open or he had no choice , i dont really play online much so iam not up to speed with all the cheeser and things they do but i guess this is what they do right ?

Anyway if anyone plays on the ps3 my gametag is "gardenfaithful" feel free to add me !
