NBA 2K10 Impressions Thread (consoles)

The game just keeps getting worse and worse. Made a great first impression, but 2K really screwed the pooch with this one. The amount of game-ruining glitches is astonishing. My Player is very addictive and a great concept, but they fucked that up. Fail to make a training camp? Stuck in D-League forever. Make training camp? So did your clone. Enjoy your diminished stats, and in most cases, diminished overall rating because your clone never gets time and is upset about it. Overlook that or find a workaround? Well, now the menu freeze whenever you attempt to do anything. Absolutely pathetic.

Gameplay isn't that much better. Inside scoring is still broken. I was averaging 27 points on 86% shooting after 6 association games with the Bulls. NBA Today didn't become functional until today. Autosave killed the roster I had spent a few hours working on. Instead I get the game's fantastic one where Larry Hughes has the same overall rating as Ramon Sessions.

Maybe a great set of sliders and patch will fix the game, but for now, its back to 2K9, and other games.

I've been exclusively playing FIFA 2010 (great game btw). May get back to NBA 2k10 after patch comes out though. Although if NCAA 10 is good then this game may get very little play this season except for online games against mate (the only reason I got the game).

Ive not even being playing the 2k10 game its self ive being hooked on "my player"

After playing 10 games in the dleague i got a 10 day contract from denver !

Even with all the glitchs ( ty lawson playing pf ?) iam still enjoying it , 2 games in averaging 7 points 6 rebounds 4 assists as the back up pg

Finally picked up the game, biggest shock to me: I actually like the soundtrack. I don't know what to do with myself at this point. Haven't played it too much but so far...

Good:
- Shooting mechanics, spacing on the floor, my player mode is fun, speed of the game, off the ball play has improved significantly

Bad:
- Post game; liked it how it was, new menu system pisses me off, framerate probs in My Player are annoying, too many alley-oops even with the slider settings on 0

Also in My Player, I created a 6'8 rebounding PF... got cut after training camp with the Hawks, picked up by a D-League team and averaged 7-7 on like 40% shooting... after 6 games, got called up by the Thunder and am playing starter minutes. Is this normal? I thought it was supposed to be difficult to get a call-up, my guy sucks and he's playing in the NBA. I'm still rated like 43.
