Any word on a roster/association editor?

I haven't heard anything from FlyingFinn. Hades?

If someone (who knows programming and can decrypt the files) is ready to help me, we can release it in, suppose, 3-4 days.
I'm alone have found out many things... but don't have enough time during the next week, unfortunately.

There were two editors out last year. So maybe one of those guys can help you do what you need to do if you want to build it for 2k10?

Here is FlyingFinn's space at Operation Sports. http://www.operationsports.com/FlyingFinn/

Here is Hade's roster editor website http://hades.net.cn/

Thx, man.
Still, they are not on-line. :(

So, I'm working on editor alone... maybe i'll release the first version in 1,5-2 weeks.
Found out D-League players there, actually, also The Celebreties and some Creators' Teams. =)))

For now, name, age, number, Pos, 2nd Pos, height, weight, assigned minutes and all the skills are editable.

But 2K enciphered this file SO MUCH... i even don't know what 4... rather difficult to decode... so many different formulas, and even hash at the beginnig of it.

if the editor could allow us to edit the 3 number abbreviations for teams as well, that would be really helpful for NCAA, Euroleague, FIBA, or Street mods
Opinions are my own.

I suppose, this is possible, according to the structure of the file.
But at first I'll make players editable... the reason is, that I need to convert roster for some of my purposes.

So, some news, what is going on on this :)

I'm working on Roster Editor. I don't know the release date yet, 'cause it had been planned 4 the next weekend, but it became clear later, that i'm going to take part in B-ball competition in my University next week, and also going to have some acid tests there.

==================
With my editor now you (actually, I, as it hasn't been released yet  ) are able to edit Player names, Height, Weight, Age, Minutes Assigned, all the skills and all the tendencies (very many digits, actually, the head goes round  ).
All the players (NBA, D-League, All-Star, Celebrities) are editable, of course.
After finishing with players, I'll make teams editable...

Ok, I'll write a small tutorial.

Btw, the first screen can be seen in that topic about hidden Ricky Rubio.

PS: Thx 2 Jaosming 4 providing me with some IFF files knowledge and also he dug out how to change the uniforms (this point I have missed :D ).

Vl@d - If you can, please also include the ability to assign portrait IDs so we can have photos for CAPs and the option to enable the full IFF if we want to use the player image in game. This capability was there in Finn's and the Hades editors last year. I know the feature would really be appreciated.
In theory there is no difference between theory and reality...except that there is in reality.

1. Thx. :)
2. For sure =))) I even didn't mention, that I had done main menu in Russian
3. I'll do this as soon as I'm able to edit everything connected with players.
3. Release of the first version will be in 1-2 weeks, depending on how much I'm busy at the University.
4. Jaosming has already helped me a bit by providing some info about IFF files and finding how to edit uniforms, logos etc. Actually, no help is needed now, maybe later... I'll tell you, if I need something.

Vl@d - The screen shot looks great. I'm really looking forward to your editor. In the screen shot it looks like you have the full list of players. Will you also have the ability to filter the list by team and/or position? It is often very helpful to compare and edit team by team or make changes to all the players in a position (like all the PGs for example).

Good luck and keep us posted. Let us know if you need any help testing.

Yes, I'll add the ability to filter Players' list by team. And, if u wish, I'll also add the ability to filter by position.

Current updates:

Ability to edit Hotspots.
Ability to change Dunk and LayUp Packages, edit Dribbling/Shooting Type(Animation) (this one is represented in HEX values, due to it's some kind of pointer to animation packages).
Ability to edit some points (NoTrade Clause and Cash for each year) of player's contract.
Finally, I managed to edit Pos and 2nd Pos.
Some improvements in the Editor itself...
Also converted Editor from to new version of roster (see Official roster of 23rd of October). But the release version, I suppose, will be able to open both versions.

Wow

Good work Vlad thanks for the update I cant wait for the release (Y) :!:

We would appreciate the ability to filter by position if not hard to do (Y)

Sounds wierd but I play with every player like this

99 Dunk
99 Vertical
99 Lay Up
99 Dunk
99 Stdnk
99 Pass

Very fun and you get to see awesome dunks and sweet passes. (Y) :!:

(Y) Thank you Vl@d for the hard work.

Do you think you'll add an export/import feature (txt, csv, ...) in order to get the opportunity to mass update the roster files in Excel or DB software ?

Re: Roster Editor?

Surely, it's possible. But I don't see any reason for doing it, because my Editor works exactly like any other DB-editor...
Even on the controry, I'm going to make some kind of a visual shell for it after the first release, because standard view is very low-level ))) - u are able to edit Roster easily and quickly, but may make some mistakes (like putting each hotspot to the value 100 (there are groups of them, as u know, each group should give 100 in summary)), so the game would crash or whatever.

Anyway, here are some more screens:

PS:
Don't mind, that Iguodala has strange Contract ))) It's so, because I test everything on him :)
