Just got a "new" widescreen monitor. Highest resolution I can have is 1440x900 but that resolution doesn't look very good in the game. The lowest after that I can choose is 1280x1024, but that doesn't look good either. I heard I should use a 16:9 resoltuion since 16:10 isn't supported and this site

I'm not to savvy about 16:9 and 16:10 resolution so do you guys have any suggestions for finding the optimal resolution in the game?

I have a 1440x900 monitor too and I just use that resolution. People say 16:10 isn't supported because the image is stretched, but it looks OK to me. If you want to I suppose you could just edit the resolution to 1366x768 in the config file.

It's possible to edit that in the config file? I'm gonna look into that.
It does feel stretched to me, especially after playing on a 4:3 monitor and having the correct aspect ratio. If you just start plauing with 1440x900 i don't think you'll notice it as much, but there is a huge difference.

Hmm. I just edited the config file with the new resolution, but it's still 1440 in the game, and I don't even have an option for 1366.

Looks like you're right.

I thought that editing the resolution in the config file would work. Can you set your monitor resolution to 1366x766 while not in the game???

No I can't. Lower than 1440 it just goes to 1280

That stretched image youre getting is alot better than what you get in 1366 x 768, because in 16:9, the camera is like 100 yards away from the action, At least when its vertically stretch, you're gettting a closer view of the game.

Play in 1366x766 windowed mode. You cant change resolution ingame. YOu have to do it in the menues when youre not playing

Actually you can change your resolution ingame, when scrolling through the resolution list, just press left on the control pad or analog. I know its greyed out, but you can still change it

I don't have that resolution in the game. From 1280 it goes directly to 1440, nothing in between.

Does your monitor have "auto adjust"? I'm also using 1440x900 resolution with my samsung n733 monitor without any problems.

I installed new drivers for my monitor and now run the game in 1368 or something so I get 14:9.
Playing in 1440x900 will never give you true 16:10, you will have to play it in 16:9 to get the correct aspect ratio.
