it seems nothing is happening because 2k server is down 99%

Now I know, I have played 3 match and 2 match was great, no lag, no stupid oponent. But I don't understand, what it is ranked match? Can someone tell me about it..

it puts you with a random person and all wins/loses count for you and show up in your profile and determine your rank.
