Running layups are performed by moving toward the basket with the left stick and pressing the shot stick(right analog stick) in the direction you want to take the layup. If you are driving baseline, you can attempt a reverse layup by pressing towards the baseline with the right stick. If you are too close to the basket when you start your layup they will perform a short shot which is like a standing layup. You need to start your layup at least 10 feet from the basket.
