Hard to hit 3pt and mid range...

Postby Onisak on Sat Nov 21, 2009 4:43 am

Hey all :)

I have this problem. I just can't hit any 3pt shots and also midrange is very hard to hit. Is this just a problem in the game, or am I that bad? I use Albys sliders, its really frustrating because its very unrealistic that I can only score in the paint...

adjust the sliders for the 3 point and mid range
and if you still suck at shooting, you can just go practice with the players you are having most difficulty hitting a shot with

I think if you check your tendencies in the VIP viewer, you could see your shot release, if it says poor, that means you have to work on your shot release timing. If it says good then its something else, but it should probably be the timing of your release.

Yeah, different players have different timings. So, it's the best way to go to Practice with players you need, and find out the best timings. At first, I was wondering, how come I shot 35% with Amar'e and only about 15% with Nash. But after I entered practice I found out, that I hold the shooting button for too long. :(

It's all about timing... I play with the Blazers and get way more 3's with Miller who is rated in the 50's for his 3 rating and barely get any with Travis Outlaw who is 81 (i think) at 3 pointers, because I can't time his jump shot and can't be bothered going to practice it in the gym :)
