If you read up on overclocking, most people who want insane GHz have to really loosen those memory timings. So, just loosen them a bit and see what happens.
When I bought my ram, it had low rated timings(4-4-4-12 DDR2 400(800), but that was only for two 1GB sticks. I bought two pairs and kept getting blue screens at 4-4-4-12. Once I loosened the timings, the blue screens disappeared.
You can find a program called CPU-Z anywhere on the net and check the rated timings for your ram. "JEDEC" is the standard stable settings that are supposed to guarantee that a cpu will work with them(not overclocked, though).
Tried overclocking your video card?
