Whenever I try to extract the iff files of players, it seems the leg textures are missing. Aren't the leg textures included in the player's iff? :?: :?

I am getting an error when i try to import the file that I want in the game i follow all the instruction and also the file is in the same folder with iffset but still an error. it says invalid image format , need [ 512x512 , size = 174784 , fmt = DXT1] I'm trying to put a tatoo on marvin williams same error appear and the file i already save in dds is already 512x512, and 1 mb in size anbody have an idea with this problem.

My oh my. The included file called vcredist_x86.exe is the installer for C++. Santa said that it is already included, or you can download it yourself if you wish. Please read what had been posted thoroughly. Besides, I believe "Google" is everyone's best friend. Please give it a try or put some effort in.

Make sure you choose DXT1 with alpha and Generate Mipmap options ticked when you convert bmp to dds.

Has anybody tried to extract court IFF file using IFFSet? I tried extract court IFF files but IFFSet only managed to extract the floor alpha texture bitmap and other non image files before a Win32 error handle occurred.

ChillBally, the headband is actually located in the team jerseys iff's. So when you extract the jersey textures, Cleveland Team ID 004, you get the corresponding headband as well :)

I found a solution to the file missing error. (Y) (Y) (Y)
if you copy the CMD.exe from your windows\system32\ folder and paste it in the same folder as the iffset and start bat tool, it will now work. :applaud: :applaud: :applaud:

I still haven't found a way to properly extract the global.iff without a crash error.

Im guessing you guys missed my post on the first page
Santa's wrong

To import the dds file back you need to move it to the same folder as the iffset.exe and the iff you are importing into. That will get rid of the missing file crap.

nope, I didn't miss it :) . Anyway I got rid of the problem. If you're extracting a file that's too huge for the program to handle, an error pops up, and a .txt file generates in your folder. Just delete that .txt and it's all working again ;)

1:首先,下载IFF工具,地址http://www.baballs.com/2008/1226/xNMDAwMDAwMDIxNQ.html
2:安装vcredist_x86

2:把iffset.exe文件放入游戏主目录下(nba 2k9文件夹中)
3:点开windows任务栏的开始键,注意,XP才能使用工具,再点运行,属于cmd后确认,会弹出一个dos对话框


4:把游戏主目录中的iffset.exe文件拖进dos对话框里,
按回车

5:2K9在哪个盘就打上盘符如我的在d盘就d:然后回车

6:然后在dos中进入你的nba 2k9文件夹路径 比如我的就是cd nba 2k9 (‘cd空格文件名’这是进入子目录的指令 )

7:接下来是解压IFF的关键,iffset空格–x空格xxx.iff(如鞋补shoe_503_02.iff这个文件解压的指令就是iffset –x shoe_503_02.iff)
回车之后会进行解压并在nba2k9主目录下生成新的文件夹 该文件夹由解压文件名命名

8:打开该文件夹 其中的bmp格式的图片就是你现在2k9中拥有的图片 比如我的就是我之前修改的AJ3


9:之后用photoshop打开要修改的图片
10:开始你的创作 比如我要把我之前做得这双AJ3白色版本改成原年配色版本
(面补也是一个套路 纯靠手工ps)

到了这步 您的修改就算完成了 之后就要开始往游戏中iff文件导入了

11:导入时要把修改后的图片保存 保存的路径为nba2k9游戏的主目录下 格式为dds
注意dds分为多种格式 比如dxt1 dxt3 dxt5
请根据原图片上标明的格式保存 比如这双鞋就是dxt1格式的就存成dds dxt1
(注意 要求图片像素大小要和原版文件完全一致)


这样在游戏根目录下就会产生相应的dds格式图片文件


12:之后开始导入 导入就是在之前的dos对话框中输入iffset空格–p空格xxx.iff空格yyyyyy.dds回车
其中的xxx就是刚才你要修改的那个iff文件的名字 yyyyyy就是保存后的dds的名字(注意要和原bmp图片的名字相同)
这样 就导入完成了

最后注意事项
1:确定你安装了PhotoShop。
2:解压出来的文件的图片格式是BMP的,必须要转换,转换是要用到DDS插件

3:在修改前注意备份您的原文件

1: First, download the IFF tools, http://www.baballs.com/2008/1226/xNMDAwMDAwMDIxNQ.html address
2: Install vcredist_x86

2: Add the document iffset.exe game home directory (nba 2k9 folder)
3: open windows at the beginning of the taskbar button, pay attention to, XP to use the tool to run again, after the fall cmd confirmation dialog box will pop up a dos

Press enter

11: import should be revised to preserve the path to save the picture nba2k9 games for the home directory format for dds
Dds attention is divided into multiple formats such as dxt1 dxt3 dxt5

1: Make sure you have installed PhotoShop.

do anyone already found out how to edit and import again the files with **********_21.bmp?
because I'm having trouble editing that one. Its usually the cornrow tails. Using TexMod yeah I can edit it.. but for Iff file release i cant.
its stated in the instruction that if the the file has "_DXT#.bmp" at the end of the file name, you should save it as ".dds" file with its corresponding file type as a "dds" file.. but how about "_21.bmp"? the "21" doesnt signify any type of a dds file.. so how could i save it or in what type of dds i would save it into?
please help... :cry:

vhan, what iff file is that in? Did you actually edit that image? If you haven't then you don't need to reimport it.
