Hi, i have make a file to edit the textures tool in 3d in phtoshop, i this way you don´t have to worry about uv mapping because you are going to see the results of your texture at the moment.
maybe this file doesn´t work for all short3d models because its possible that some of them has another uv mapping, but if you import your texture over the files which textures matches ok with this model you aren´t going to have any problem.
here is the videotutorial:

Of course, all i need is know in which file is the jersey 3d model, so if anyone wants to search it i will make the same for jerseys

This short.obj is made from .iff file or how ? I don't understand...

What is the file you are opening that has the Laker's away design in the 2D file?
I tried opening the .IFF files in PS CS4 but got an error message about parsing the file (I have a legit version of 2K10 and PS). I can open the shorts.obj file just fine but don't know what file to open to actually edit the design.
Thanks.

you have to use the 2k9 iff editor or the 3D tool to extract/import textures from the iff file to put in photoshop to edit

Finally figured that out this afternoon, thanks for the answer though J.

Which one 3D tool you mean ? Because on my Windows iff editor doesn't work but I really need to edit jerseys and so on...

I have a few pair of shorts that are reversible - solid tan or green on one side and a crazy plaid on the other
Should I ever wear the plaid side out?
