how can i make a player be featured for the game? (the camera focuses on one player during the pre-game practice shooting and during every end of quarters) what dbf value should i change? thank you

I mean you know how, every start of the ball game a featured player is being focused by the camera.. Like for the Lakers for example: during the start of the ball game the camera focuses on Kobe shooting hoops or laying up, then after the half-time the camera focuses on Kobe. then at the end game it shows kobe greeting his counterpart of the opposing team.

How do you make other players be featured like this I noticed that only certain franchise players has this per team. some teams doesnt have a featured player. do you mean to say that it cannot be edited through dbf settings?

you can't.. i think it's a random selection by the game's AI

Well, you could if you edited their ratings so that they were the best player on the team but that's not really a desirable solution, so the short answer is you can't; at least, not in the way you want.

Andrew, sir, how do i make st patricks day jersey appear in my game? what do i change? and how do i change the color of socks to black for away teams?

There are no St Patrick's Day jerseys by default. You can add new entries to teamgear.dbf simply by scrolling to the bottom of the database in DB Commander and pressing down but you'll need the appropriate art files first. As for your second question, I'm pretty sure SOCKCOLOR is still the field in teamgear.dbf you need to change.

I'm new on this forum and i'm a debutant with the DBF editing.I've just downloaded the trial DB commander and don't know how to use it
I would like to edit the color of the accessory and the socks when they are home are away, for example The Lakers or the Celtics should wear black socks in away games.Or Kobe should wear a black arm accessory in away games
I know that it's was asked a lot of time and it must be a ridiculous question, but i don't really know how to do it, i open the DB cmmander but i dn't know how to use it ,

I'm pretty sure 1 is black. Otherwise, I'd suggest trial and error to find the appropriate value.

You'll need to make sure he has the same FSS values as well. NBA Live 08 PC doesn't officially use FSS (at least not in the same way as 06 and 07) but it still uses those fields and moves for players who qualify them; it's just automated/contextual in 08.

i think it's in the edit player screen. there's a template there that automatically make the ratings that qualify a player as a certain FSS...

none. there's no way.. you can just edit their gears when playing dynasty mode. but i think you can edit their ratings in the dbf.

The players.dbf editing guide explains the columns that govern FSS (that's Freestyle Superstars) abilities. There's a guide in the Wiki that lists the qualifying ratings for FSS movesets.

according to the wiki, Shaq is a star power player, Howard has got all the qualifying stats but no template applied, how can i apply the template?

hey could someone tell me how to set boston away color black? i put edited the teamgear.dbf with the color id but nothing happend

You mean the default accessory colour? Change the first AUTOCOLOR field for Boston's away jersey (ID is 42) to 1644825.
