Info on NBA Live 10 updates

Giving you guys the heads up. All the info for the NBA LIVE 10 roster update will becoming via a blog on Monday. Be on the lookout for this!

fingers crossed they do more than DNA updates

so it's info not an actual update on monday?

they've said a few times that the updated cant/wont start until the start of the season

Dudee im really concerned with EA right now. Theyre really making poor decisions business wise. And I honestly dont think its because theyre lazy but Im startin to think its because they dont know any better. I feel long ago we shouldve gotten some type of insight of what this update would be like. Maybe a week or even a couple of days after you guys announced that you delayed Elite. This is crazy. If you tell the fans there will be an update then its not very smart to wait almost a month later to specify what will be in the update. Even worst that its a week after the competition launched. And I feel if it were not for all of the complaints about this at the OS boards then we probably wouldnt be getting info on the roster update this upcoming Monday. I wont comment on the fact that the roster havent come already because Im not sure how long that process goes.

Hopefully they'll update some of these things:

- Schedules - (2010/11 Season)
- Jerseys + Logos - (New jerseys + logos)
- Rosters (Obvious)
- Contracts (So LeBron, Wade etc don't expire after the first season in Dynasty Mode)
- Player faces (Rookies)
- 2010 Draft class

Considering the DNA data doesn't become available until games are actually played, it's not surprising that the updates haven't started yet. I doubt they'd want to base DNA updates off the pre-season where most of the big names are playing limited minutes and teams are still making daily cuts. If there are indeed going to be updates aside from the DNA/rosters then it might be a case of developing them/seeing what can be patched into the game and hopefully testing it all out before the announcement is made.

They probably felt the initial explanation that DNA updates would continue with the 2010/2011 season was self-explanatory. I've seen people complaining that the rosters didn't come out on October 5th and then subsequently again on October 15th. They never mentioned those dates as being a time we could expect updates and obviously neither of them are the date of opening night 2010, so I'm not sure where people have been getting these dates from.

oh i dont know that. thats good to know. probably wont be updated til day 2 so they can take the day 1 dna and update that.

For me, the more important thing is the rookies, rosters and jerseys & logos, because so many teams change this on that season

That's a shame they're not updating anything else, though to be honest I wasn't holding my breath on that one. No further gameplay updates/fixes is the biggest issue for me, if it came down to it I can play with old jerseys, courts and no new shoes, if we can edit the new rookies' appearance I could probably even get around having generic/CAP faces but the sim engine, lock-ups and other issues caused by the first couple of patches still discourage me from really getting into NBA Live 10 again.

Im officially thru with this series.

Man that sucks, I was looking forward to it, I guess all the man power is going to "Elite" . . .I'm satisfied with 2ks My Player Mode Right now, But I'm gonna check the updates when they do happen

Which in all fairness is how it should be. NBA Elite 11 is probably going to become NBA Elite 12 and if that extra time can polish up the product and get it right, so be it. It's a shame that NBA Live 10 won't receive a more substantial update in the meantime but as I said I wasn't holding out too much hope for that beyond the roster and DNA updates. A shame to hear it all the same, no question.

ill check in Wednesday to see if Live 09 will get updates too. Considering my issues with Live 10....i really hope so.

Sort of knew that they wouldn't update the stadiums, but I mean, it's the least they could do..... Seems sort of awkward playing with GSW's old logo

ot an ea or 2k fan buti if 2k had to delay a game they would definently addd lots of stuff to the update they would have all that stuff for people

You can't say that. 2K has delayed a game(Mafia 2....DNF) and actually cut unfinished parts of the game and did not provide them as updates.

On the Live 10 note, EA is doing what I knew they would, the bare minimum, while moving forward with Elite.

Other than the manual update tomorrow this probably would have happened with the DNA updates even if Elite got released judging by what happened with 09.

two to three weeks after the nba season starts thats bullcrap. Im starting to lean to 2k NOT i rather burn my ps3. what about fiba rosters will they be updated they werent mentioned

I'd say the FIBA rosters will not be updated, since as you noted they weren't mentioned.

Rosters are out now.

This update does nothing for NBA Live 09, however iirc 09 didnt get Live 10's rosters until the season actually started and the "normal" DNA was flowing.
