DNA updates will continue for NBA Live 10

In light of NBA Elite 11's release being delayed, Peter Moore has announced that NBA Live 10 will continue to receive free DNA updates this season as well as continue to receive online support.

too bad they wont do some DLC for the new jerseys/courts/rookie faces. actually i really wonder how the rookie faces will be like considering Live 09 got the Live 10 updates but the rookies were all generic.

This might be asking for too much but they could do a Nba live 10 (2010-2011 edition) which has a dynasty fix, new courts, uniforms and rookie faces , etc.

That's unlikely but would be really great would be at least one more bug fix to address the lock-ups and some of the other issues. If they were to end up skipping NBA Elite 11 completely then maybe they could spend a little time putting out a fix like that but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Yeah they could do that, like not make a whole new game. but an add-on you could buy off xbox live game marketplace or something like that. that would not be a bad idea at all.

so when i buy another copy of live10 (as i have just sold my copy), do i have to buy it new? as i know 2nd hand copies dont have a dna code with them and i cant pay for it online as its not on psn. or can i just buy a preowned copy as the "update" is free?

if you had DNA from your first purchase, that data is on your ps3/360, so you can buy it used without worry

Exactly. I wouldn't mind dropping a couple of bucks for some NBA Live 10 DLC that updated jerseys and everything, though in light of the NBA Elite 11 situation making said DLC free would probably be better from a PR standpoint. As far as bug fixes though, those should definitely be free and I'd like to see another one released, though I highly doubt it'll happen.

That's not next season but the season after, so probably not. They're only talking about continuing the updates through the 2010/2011 season.

Sounds good but really hope they dont do another gameplay patch. We all know what the results were last time they did that .

If they can fix some of the issues then I'm all for another fix; it'd be great if they could do something about Dynasty stats as well, but if they were to release another fix I can't see it addressing anything except for gameplay and perhaps some of the lockup issues. Art updates to go along with the DNA rosters would certainly be nice.
