Getting into online play

Hi, im a new poster, loooove live 10 dynasty mode on ps3 but i just dont know how to get online play happening.... i have a wireless internet connection and i dont know how to connect my ps3 to the internet to start playing online... do i connect it to the laptop connect the internet and then find it or plug it into the ps3 or what??? If anyone has had this problem or knows how to fix it i would love to know so i can get crackin and see how good i really am rather than just playing the computers predictable game.... Please let me know, Thanks....

Welcome to the Forum. I'm guessing you've got a wireless USB modem that handles that connection, I'm not sure if you can actually just plug that into the PS3. I'm not sure if there's a way to connect the PS3 to the Internet using that setup, generally you'd connect it to a router; either a modem/router that's handling the broadband connection as well as sharing it or one that's simply sharing an active connection.
