Official "I've got the game!" thread

Rather than everyone posting a new thread when they get the game, please use this thread if you want to announce to your fellow posters that you've got the game, where you got it, which retailer has a bargain price etc. If you want to discuss another topic about the game in-depth or post an in-depth review, feel free to start a new thread but if all you want to do is say "I've got the game" - or words to that effect - this thread is the place to post.

As of this post I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive, hopefully it'll come tomorrow.

i know there've been a few lucky ones who already have the game. unfortunately, i haven't been able to convince any gamestop managers or find the game at any 7-eleven near my area ... so i'll be getting it tomorrow. really excited about the game this year specially after the amazing reviews. good to know that what i thought about live this year turned out to be true.

can't wait to play with my bulls, play live run and just stay awake all niiiiight playing it. back to live after 5 years.

Really? Whereabouts did you get it from (and which state are you in)? I checked my local stores this morning and they were disappointingly honest.

I have it and honestly right now until the patch is released I'd say the game is built to play head to head.

Now that doesn't mean you can't have a great experience playing the AI but right now there are some things that will take away from the experience until EA releases their initial patch.

CPU seems to releuctant to fastbreak again this year. Some moves are still way too fast at times but I think they said a patch is coming out to correct hyper dunks. I only played a few times today just to see if it steps up another notch from the demo (which i wasn't impressed). It does play better right out the box than any Live version on Next Gen. I like how they finally got Shaq to play about 80% of his way now which is a big deal for me because I hated seeing Shaq for years play soft in the paint. Now he plays with power and tries to bully you at times.

I haven't had much time to go around the league and check out all stars on the court. I played vs Dallas, Cleveland and Portland. Dallas and Cleveland did resemble their true selves to me especially the Mavs because Dirk was getting his shots and mostly from his comfort zones. They did run a few post up plays for Dirk a little too much for my liking since it's Dirk but he was at 5 with Marion at the 4 during 8 minute qtr's in that game Dampier was in foul trouble. I'll have to run a test again soon to make sure the CPU AI doesn't treat Dirk as a post up type player.

Cleveland did a good job balancing the shots between LBJ and Shaq. Sometimes their backcourt forced shots but not as much as what i saw in the demo. Portland was kinda weird because Roy only took like 6 shots all game but again i only played 8 minute qtr's. I mentioned this before but i still prefer the the movement and look of the game when playing another person.

Everything just seems to flow much better when the human player controls the moves and it looks amazing in action but not so much when the CPU is the opponent. They just seem kinda generic most of the time which is i can't say is bad or good because it depends on the individual taste. They do try to play realistic but they lack drama or fashion while doing it. Now this might be because I have 2K10 aswell and the players animations are different from Live 10.

generally unimpressed... when I first saw the demo I thought EA had maybe made some competition... but I already know 2K10 will be better which is no suprise really... one thing I'm STUNNED on is that Sofoklis Schortsanitis isn't in the game for Greece.. and are EA fuckin retarded... Patrick Mills was black last time I checked... anyway... that's what I think... does anyone know how to put a created player or any player for that matter on or off the FIBA teams????????? whole reason I bought the game!!!!

As far as I can tell, you can't add or remove players as far as the FIBA teams are concerned.

I’m still in the mist of making a decision and wanted to know if they fix the AI when you’re locked on one player. Does the CPU (teammates) make passes and shoot on their own?

Is there an upload picture feature on the create a player options?

in my player mode they do, no idea about regular player lock though

I thought they said player lock in Live 10 was being patched because of some issues earlier
