Defensive/Hustle Play Animations

Postby qwomack74 on Sat Sep 26, 2009 3:36 am

I have been able to pull off some of the hustle play animations, but most of them are by luck. I was wondering if anyone knew how to trigger the defensive steal animations. the computer seems to pull them off on me at least 2 times a game. Anyone have any input on this and the hustle plays?

I was under the impression they were contextual, so when there's a loose ball moving towards it will allow your player to dive for it or try to flip it back into play.

Yeah they were contextual from my experience but still doesn't mean your player won't walk out of bounds.

True, as it should be. Not every hustle play should work out.

The one thing I don't like about hustle plays is when they don't trigger. The player will just run out of bounds and try to pick up the ball while out of bounds.

They are better than I thought they would be after first watching the hustle plays video.

They're good to have even if we do have our quibbles with them. You don't feel quite as useless when there's a loose ball and it's cleaned up some of the out of bounds issues.

I was worried they would overdo these, but that hasn't been the case at all so far. I've noticed some in the demo, but it definitely doesn't happen all the time. And like Andrew said, it's nice to see them not work on occasion. It keeps things more realistic that way.
