Talk about NBA Live 10 here.

We've touched on this in the Features thread but for those who may have missed it, what are your thoughts on the currently under wraps feature Dynamic Season?
To me (and I assume most people) it might suggest season play that is affected by DNA updates, the hot and cold streaks, ratings updates and perhaps even transactions. If so, then that would be a pretty impressive feat to pull off and would be an interesting experience, though I have to wonder how it would work. Presumably you'd have to play along with the real season for the feature to work properly and not fall behind. I assume it would also be problematic for users who don't get the game before the start of the regular season.
Alternatively, it could simply refer to the existing modes being more dynamic, with features such as the storylines and commentary updates through the year. Still, the secretive nature of the listing on the features page of the official website seems to suggest more.

I bet It's just a season (or dynasty ?) with playoff atmosphere feature. In my opinion they called it like that as a publicity stunt

Perhaps, but they've already talked at length about the presentation and atmosphere in this year's game. As I said, the secretive nature of that item on the features page seems to suggest more.

So it looks like a lot of the speculation might be true, as in
this video Garreth Reeder describes Dynamic Season as a mode where we can play along with the real 2009/2010 NBA season. It'll be interesting to see how that plays out as I'm wondering whether any allowances are made for late starts or falling behind. Otherwise, it won't appeal to anyone who doesn't get the game in time for the start of the regular season.
Regardless, it's a pretty cool idea and certainly intriguing as to how it will work and what kind of updates will be present. I would assume Dynamic DNA but that also suggests roster moves as well. Dynasty Mode will probably still be my mode of choice having more control and replay value (presumably, once the 2009/2010 season is done I'm guessing Dynamic Season won't be available) but I'll have to give it a try. It'd be cool if we could jump in and play games for any team during the Dynamic Season day-to-day, maybe that will be part of the concept. I guess we'll find out in time.

As far as I understand it, the game will be updated daily, and all those changes will be aplied to the dynamic season mode so for eg. I play Magic season and in the real life in the middle of the season Gortat is traded to the other team, then I can't really do anything with that, Gortat is not in my team anymore. What if I want Gortat to still play in my team can I reject that trade ?
And the other question is : I will still use Gortat and Magic as an eg. - Season starts and in the first game in real life Gortat plays very well, so in dynamic season he will be in great form too when I play the game, but what if I want to play 2 games in a row on my console , the game only knows that Gortat played great in the opening game and doesn't know how he will play in second game of the season, which I'm going to play right after finishing the first one . If the dynamic season will look like that it won't make sense, because all the updates will be out of date (in case that I have played for eg. 15 games of the season and the real Magic are playing their 5th game). So will we have to wait for the real Magic to play todays game , to let us play it in dynamic season tomorrow ? That option will make sense, but it won't allow us to play a few games in a row.
I hope you guys understand me, cause I'm not sure if I understand myself

I'm sure we will get more of an explanation of how it works and i'm sure they have taken in to account trades in dynasties.

My guess is that it's seperate to Dynasty Mode so if you want to play with your own custom rosters, Dynamic Season wouldn't be the way to go.

Yes, I know that, but I want my players to play as their equivalents play in dynasty. That would be great but I would also like to have an option to reject trade that happened in real life.
I hope that EA will present some details of this feature soon.

If it does end up being what many are speculating in this thread, then I'll be more than happy. A mode like this would be perfect for somebody like me.

Well, you'll be able to start a Dynasty game with updated DNA but you wouldn't really be able to keep getting the DNA updates in the normal Dynasty Mode (as far as I can see) because that would mess with the custom transactions you would make, not to mention player development that you'd have a hand in through player performance in the NBA Academy. At the end of the day, Dynasty Mode is its own reality so once you begin a Dynasty game, you can't really incorporate real season updates. You can't have it both ways - so far as I can tell - because the concepts don't mesh.
And presumably, that's where Dynamic Season will come in. But again, the concepts don't quite mesh so if trades are included in Dynamic Season then I don't see how you could reject them as that would defeat the purpose of the DNA updates, which would be based on the player's current performance, which on some level is relative to the team they're currently with. In any case, there's still much we don't know so we'll have to wait and see how it's going to work.

From the brief snippet in the Garreth Reeder interview, it seems a good bet that the concept (if not the extent of the mode) has been confirmed as matching the type of mode that we speculated it might be. How it will work and all the ins and outs of Dynamic Season are obviously yet to be revealed though.

The demo contains a pop-up dialog box regarding Dynamic Season, offering a brief explanation of it. Seems that it will involve playing games the day they happen (or via the NBA Rewind feature) and comparing the results to the real NBA, to create our own Dynamic Season. That would suggest it will make complete use of NBA Live 365, including transactions.

That will be perfect for me because I like to keep things as realistic as possible. It always frustrated me when I would get my rosters set for dynasty and then trades would start happening all over the place. This will keep things on par with the true NBA. I'm actually looking forward to this mode the most.

Agreed. I'm a big fan of the Dynasty Mode concept and creating our own NBA reality but I'll be giving Dynamic Season a shot all the same.

That's gonna be a great feature. But what does it exactly mean to play the game the day it happen > Does it mean playing the game just after the game happed ?
Or does it mean that I can play a game before the real game starts ( wich will mean that there always will be a chance that you start a game with wrong S5 for eg.)?

They haven't said yet, though both scenarios seem plausible to me.

Obviously we've got some more info about Dynamic Season now with Garreth's
blog, but here's the description that appears on a loading screen in the demo (and presumably the full version as well) for anyone who's interested:
Dynamic Season brings an unprecedented level of authenticity to NBA Live 10! Play any game the actual day that it happens. If you’ve missed some games, go back into the Rewind calendar to replay any game with the Dynamic DNA and rosters from that exact game.
The stats and results from the games you play are saved to your Dynamic Season. Each day, the real NBA results from the games you didn’t play are merged with your own. At the end of the year, start the Playoffs with your own version of the 2009-10 season.
