as I stated to you on the OS IM.....using X/Square as the shooting button makes me a sad panda.

We seriously better be able to change that or else I dont really know if I can play the game since I try to keep a healthy rotation of the PC games in with the new games.
Opinions are my own.

That's going to be a bit of an adjustment, no question. I suppose they figure most people were hitting that button to perform a dunk or layup anyway. Doesn't 2K use the X button to shoot as well?

Seems pretty positive for the most part. This caught my eye and is slightly troubling though:

Seeing an occasional foot going out of bounds and the whistle doesn't blow. (Of all the issues, this is the one I see the most, but I'd say I've seen it about 7 or 8 times now)

Still, 7-8 times in the span of 30 games isn't too bad and much less frequent than in NBA Live 09 where the CPU in particular was able to exploit it.

2k you can either use shot stick (which I use) or square button. X button is for passing as it always has been for bball games.

EDIT: I am talking on PS3, not XBox 360. Also on the PS3 preview that Dragon put link up for, they state that shoot button is square. So that's what it usually is so don't see what the problem is. I like the idea of illegal screens to stop the cheesers (Y)

Sorry, I should've mentioned I was talking about the Xbox 360 version where X is equivalent to Square on the PS3. Previously that's been the dunk/layup button in NBA Live.

I depends what you consider useful or worthwhile, I guess. It's basically this year's version of the boot-up/main menu practice arena where you can get a feel for the game, with an option to scrimmage in a kind of ultimate pick-up game. I don't think it's meant to be the main feature of NBA Live 10 by any stretch, it's just trying for something different as a default practice mode. I'm glad they've kept the Academy for Dynasty Mode though.
