Be a Pro Confirmed....in a 2k10 article?

Your created player will also be the star of "My Player", 2K's answer to EA's "Be a Pro" mode. The narrative here is similar to Be a Pro: from worst to first.

NBA Live 09 actually had a Be a Pro mode too, though it was weak and useless so the guy might be referring to that. But I guess it is more than likely for Live 10 to have a fleshed out Be a Pro mode anyway.

I figured Be a Pro would be in NBA Live 10 in some form after its inclusion in NBA Live 09, though it remains to be seen how deep it will be. I guess we'll find out soon, I wouldn't be surprised if it's been fleshed out a bit. It's a double-edged sword for EA to add features like that since people get upset when they're not fully formed modes right off the bat, but I think it's a decent idea to give us a little extra ahead of time and test the water with these features, even if their first incarnation is a bit limited and it causes some frustration.

the game needs a multi season career mode.... using any player you choose.

There's other things I'd like to see polished up before the ultimate single player career mode but it's getting to the point where that's also becoming one of the standard features of a sports game so I don't entirely disagree.

even if you choose someone like Shaq, where it would be a relatively short game mode. it would basically be like "player lock" with the game running in sim mode when you go to the bench, fast forwarding until you get back on the floor. the coaching AI, (if thats the word i am looking for) would put you in the game or take you out based on how tired you are, and how you are playing. turn the ball over too much or miss a bunch of shots when your teammates were wide open, you sit. make big plays, stay on the floor. i think this mode would be a blast, so long as your teammates AI is equal to that of the CPU's AI. one thing i hate about player lock is your teammates stand around too often, and dont take shots when they should. what would be cool is having the ability to ask to be traded, or being traded even without the user being prompted. if you suck your team will want to get rid of you lol. i also like the idea of having a CRIBS feature, get that money... upgrade your residence..... things to collect, that sort of thing.

Absolutely, there's a lot of potential with that mode but I think I'll always be more of a Dynasty player myself.
