Dynasty Improvements

I am hoping they did some major improvements on dynasty mode like these (see below)


1) Multiplayer dynasty- to keep up with 2K i feel this really needs to be in the game


2) Draft Night and Day Trades- being able to trade on draft night


3) 10 and 30 Day Contracts


4) D- League - can have more than 15 players on your team but after 15 you have to send the rest down the D-League


5) Draft List- Hopefully this will be installed whether in 2010 or even later.


6) Better In Depth Scouting- More improved scouting than saying strength is dunking weakness is off reb. Maybe even a short video of how they play


7) better generated rookies- they have improved more on this. I would like to see though once maybe every 7-10 a center that comes along that just blows you away in a draft that is projected to go 1st ( Shaq, Yao)

8) Announcer mentioning the new generated rookies- I feel this would be a neat feature and even saying the last name of the rookies.

9) Summer League- you can skip over this too if you like. you can see how your younger players play though.

I forgot these


10) Trades- Being able to trade to more than 3 people at a time. I'd say at least 6 people. Also on the subject of trades even though I have trouble with it multiple team trades would be interesting.

11) Game Of The Week- Being able to watch the game of the week, skip or play it

12) Highlights- Shows what happened in the league. Seeing best highlights from various games. also if you wanted to skip over it you could too.

13) Saving and coming back later- Would like to be able to save a game in dynasty and say i wanted to finish the third or fourth quarter later i could.

NBA Live 09 already has Draft Day trades. Also, there are no 30 day contracts in the NBA.

1. Summer Leauge-But not for your best players like Lebron or Shaq but like for rookies and 2nd stream players
2. If young players aren't doing good you can send them to the D-Leauge and like pick percentages of what you what the D-league to work on them with
3. Be able to pick the amount of games for the season like you use to be able to.
4. When you recieve a trade be able to pick like the Jersy number that the player wears from a list of jerseys he may have worn in like High School or College.
5. There should be like a interview process of players like in trades/or before the season starts and you can pick between options of what you want to say: Like if a reporter ask, "What do you expect out of your team this season" option 1: "Oh, We expect to win it all this year, anything else would be a disappointment" option 2, "Well we are focus on just making the playoffs and see where we go from there"
6. Being able to flagrant foul like if you press the R3 and R1 it flagrant fouls
7. Having refs you can see and go up to, to argue a call maybe even get a tech if u stay to long

What do you think about those Andrew?

I certainly like the idea of having a summer league and the D-League, based on other people's Wishlist posts I would suggest those would be fairly popular features. I think we'd all like the customisation of season length again and it would be handy to choose new jersey numbers manually upon making trades. As for interviews, those would be cool but I think "flavour" like that should be added after more essential improvements and additions are made.

I'm not sure about the status of flagrant fouls, but I do know that EA is not allowed to include unsportsmanlike technical fouls because the NBA will not allow them to; the NBA is, after all, extremely image-conscious.

3.i also hope they have lebron in the 2010 free agency class.. that would be so fun where he would end up in the game..

You can already scrimmage with rookies during the offseason, full five-on-five games in NBA Live 09. I would expect LeBron's contract data will be updated so that he's a free agent in 2010 too. Multi-team trades would certainly be a welcome addition though.

if possible it would be cool to play dynasty online against other peoples dynasty online have rankings and all and maybe have a NBA type playoffs and have a reward like a t shirt or something

That would be pretty awesome, even without a tangible prize. Hasn't the NCAA Football series implemented online Dynasty?

I also would like to see a weight room or workout room, so you can choose to be in the gym/do drills in the academy or improve strenght/quickness/stanima and so on in the workout room

The NBA won't allow unsportsmanlike technicals, fights or suspensions to be a part of the game. If the NBA says no, both EA and 2K have to go along with that.

The Skills Challenge at All-Star Weekend.

really I'm not gonna breka down past games, the only thing I want is a 29 game season in franshise, because it is virtually imossible to play 20+ seasons at 82 games each before the next game comes out. After each eason i just think "ugh i got to play 82 more games? I'll just simulate til the all star game"

I prefer to play 82 games myself (and sim when I can't) but having said that, bringing back that option would be most welcome as I know a lot of people want it and the more customisation options, the better.

well for me I get bored, I'm in season 11 i think and I'm bored with it already, especially when you play an exciting playoff series and my team on paper stinks so when i simulate I lose everytime, eventhough I have the best record funny isnt it. I'm stilll playing the 2008 game

No question, playing an 82 game season (or a mixture of playing and simming) certainly isn't for everyone and the shorter season length is a handy option to have.

-New Menu - The same menu in Madden 10's Franchise.
-The Extra Point - The same thing they have in Madden 10's Franchise. Weekly(or daily) recap show of scores, stats, streaks, spectacular performances, milestones broken, records broken, injuries, trades, signings, etc.
-NBA Pre-Season - Every team competes in 6 Pre-Season games.
-NBA Summer League - The ability to assign players from your team & D-League roster & invite free agents to your summer league team to compete in 5 games against other teams Summer league teams and a D-League Select team.
-NBA D-League - Demote players to your D-League roster to work on their skills, Call up players when you feel they are ready to join your roster.
-Enhanced Training Camp - The ability to invite players from your D-League roster & free agents to train with your team, cut players, scout your teams strengths and weaknesses, determine 12-man active roster & 3 man inactive roster.
-Managing Team & Expenses - Set prices on tickets and merchandise. Schedule team practices and team events. Relocate your team to new cities & new arenas. Create new jerseys.
-NBA Draft - More hype around the draft and it's prospects. Cutscenes when someone is picked.
-New Trading System - Allow up to four teams to be involved in a trade(five players per team) with more info on the players like interest, salary & contract length. also the ability to trade for cash considerations & draft picks from up to five years away.
-More stats - Show more stats like league leaders in triple doubles, double doubles, turnovers, games played, games started, rookie league leaders, etc.
-More award candidates - Show more award candidates like the candidates for defensive player of the year, sixth man, most improved player, rookie of the year, etc.
-Early Defensive Gameplan - Set defensive strategies & match ups a week ahead of time.
-Player Roles - Assign players to roles that include Franchise Player, Starter, 6th Man, Role Player, Prospect & Bench Warmer. The ability to assign up to 3 team captains.
-Manage Coaches & Staff - Hire & Fire Coaches(Head/Assistant) and either select from a free agent pool of coaches or select an interim head coach from your assistant coaches and Hire & Fire Staff(Doctors/Trainers/Scouts/Offensive & Defensive Coordinators).
-Coach Free Agency - The coach free agency should include real life coaches currently unemployed like Avery Johnson, Kevin McHale, Jeff Van Gundy, Isiah Thomas, etc. & recently retired players like Chris Webber, Eric Snow, Jamal Mashburn, etc.
-Atmosphere - Rivalry games, possible season ending games, playoff games & finals games should have a more intense atmosphere.
-Enhanced Player Satisfaction - Player satisfaction is determined by their performance, their teams performance, reputation, popularity, minutes, touches, etc.
-NBA All-Star Weekend - More hype around All-Star Weekend. The ability to vote for 2 players(1 on each conference) as a reserve for the NBA All-Star team. Starters chosen in format of 2 guards, 2 forwards, and 1 center.
-Enhanced Trading Block - Express interest in trading a certain player and over time receive e-mails from teams concerning that player and who they are willing to exchange for the player.
-More Contract Lengths - 10 days, 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, 5 years, 6 years & 7 years.
-More Contract Options - signing bonuses, no trade clauses, opt out clauses, early termination clauses, bird rights, early bird rights, etc.
-Team Exceptions - luxury tax, traded player exception, disabled player exception, mid-level exception, bi-annual exception, rookie exception, minimum salary exception, etc
-Free Agency - restricted free agents, unrestricted free agents, battle with other teams to persuade someone to join your team.

Thats a must have in dynasty, the NBA has oodles of records.

ctually NBA Live 08 i think has stats for turnovers, game splayed and started and rookie leaders

more accurate stats.

multi-team dynasties are long overdue

I couldn't agree more, the more stats at our fingertips the better.

Great ideas here, though we all know that only a few will be implemented because franchise and dynasty modes get less and less attention from game developers as they are all about online, especially EA. A lot of you guys want a post game press conference, but i think it's almost impossible for EA to do it right as you would hear Yao, AI, kobe, Griffin and Gasol speaking the same voice, accent, style/language.

A selection of fictional news articles would be more realistic. I believe they have that in Madden, or did at one point.

Dynasty Mode hasn't been completely forgotten though. The overhaul in NBA Live 08 was a step in the right direction and we've got a couple of small features in the last couple of years that had previously been staples of the Wishlist.
