Virtual Playbook with NBA LIVE 10

As I said in the other thread it's not heavy on details about NBA Live '10, there's only so much the dev team can talk about at the moment (which is why we're still waiting on the green light for our Q&As and such) but a couple of interesting tidbits on the development of the Virtual Playbook. This paragraph catches the eye though:

Well, after playing the game and seeing what we could and couldn’t get to the first time, there are a number of areas that have yet to be fully tapped. I think a major catalyst for exploring those areas will come with being able to use NBA Live 10. Playing Live 09 for an extended period of time while shooting after having been playing Live 10 so much makes me see just how far things have come in the last year. With NBA Live 10 I think we will be able to examine a wider variety of the finer points of the game that Live 10 captures which will lead to: more intricate plays, broader scope of teaching points and the opportunity to look deeper into individual player and team styles and tendencies. Some of the technical improvements that could be ahead include: projecting virtual shadows onto the real court and virtual player scaling relative to real life people.

That's certainly good to hear. I do like NBA Live 09 on the Xbox 360 but there's definitely still room for improvement. I doubt everything we want can be achieved within one development cycle but with the talk of great strides being made already, I'm keen for some hands-on experience.

Keen is an under statement to wanting to get some hands on experience for Live 10.

In the meantime I've been making do with NBA Live 09. It'll also refresh my memory so I can make a better comparison, since Fallout 3's been dominating my gaming these past few months.
