At least I assume it's official, unless the Orlando Sentinel was lying (the picture was since taken down from their site). Pretty nice looking cover, for what it's worth.

That cover looks pretty sweet.

Magic center Dwight Howard and Lakers star Kobe Bryant are doing more than competing in the NBA Finals -- they also have competing video games.

EA Sports will announce Thursday that Howard will be the cover athlete for the NBA Live 10 game.

"This year has been a crazy ride, and this is a cool way to cap it off," Howard said. "Of course, there is one more thing I'm on the hunt for that would complete it."

Forgot about him. Pau is a legit star, so is Dirk. I think if they take either one, one will be left out because of financial aspect (even though EA has oddles of money).

Nice little teaser there, I love the effect of him jumping 'onto' the box at the end. I can't really get over calling it "10" though, I think it should have switched back to the full year (2010). But anyhoo.

Yeah I thought when the Live team changed the title to 06 I thought well they kind of stuffed it a bit for when 2010+ comes along but I guess what matters is the product itself in the end.

That was a nice touch. I would have preferred though that he finished the dunk, the backboard will break off and instead of pieces of glass falling to the floor, pieces of broke 2K cases are the ones shown.

You're not alone there. Even though it's '10 and thus representing the year 2010, the abbreviated year makes it sound like the tenth instalment in the series and felt a bit strange to say at first but I guess I've grown used to it. Still, "a rose by any other name" and all that, so long as the game inside delivers the goods.

Me too, it sounds like NBA Live part 10. I thought they'd go for NBA Live MMX (but it sounds like a video card name).
