Pretty much. At the very least it's the only one that looks particularly posed.

With EA Sports wanting to bring back the old glory days of NBA Live, I don't think putting a Bobcat on the cover is an option.

I could see Rondo being on the cover, but I doubt that they'll choose a point guard 3 straight years.. So my pick will be Brandon Roy, which is a good choice, since he would fit their direction

Isn't it the right time to put Pau Gasol on the main cover? He's been in the Spanish version for so many years already and I don't think that it's a constraint because that's also been the case for Tony Parker.

And putting a Laker on the cover is not a bad marketing strategy.

Why not Derrick Rose or Ben Gordon?
Derrick Rose is the Rookie of the year and a good pick for the cover.
Also BG7 is a pretty good player , a star of Bulls, with a very good season

Much as I like Gordon, from a marketing standpoint I reckon they'd pick Rose over him if they were to put a Bull on the US cover. If anything, Gordon and Deng might be on the UK cover again (assuming they do a regional cover for the UK again this year).

Cool, that's what I'm actually visualizing except for the Kobe/LeBron part.

I could def see Rose Roy or Howard as realistic options as coverboy.

Interesting...perhaps LeBron being the cover player isn't too far fetched. We can obviously rule out Kobe for the Live '10 cover though.

yeah. Maybe 2K played the hard times financially card or really stroked kobes ego by a few under the table deals

For some people it might. It shouldn't though, any connection between the cover player and the quality of the game is purely coincidental. Take NBA Live 99 for example; fine game, Antoine Walker on the cover.

I don't care about the cover,never have BUT to causal gamers the cover is a big draw card
