Possibly, but EA decided not to publish and distribute it because of reasons known to them. Considering how rich EA is, paying the developers to do the job and not push through with publishing the game is only peanut money for EA.

So if that was true, IF, then this HB studio have converted Live 09 into a PC port and EA decided not to release it because of reasons known to them. What a news to hear.

It's also possible that Live 09 was being developed for the PC as a PS2 port, but they found out 2KSports was going to release a 360 port and ended production. This is assuming that the line of text from that website was from a creditable source. The text could have also meant something different, since Live 09 did have a PS2 version, and NHL 09 also had a PS2 and PC version.

It's really the time to get Live back to the PC, especially since current gen Live has been improving these last few years. From a competition stand point, they don't want to let 2KSports take over PC users hearts.

The only thing that prevents that from happening is 2K being patch friendly. If 2K10 is easier to patch, then that will indeed happen.

I don't get why NBA Live is so neglected for PC though we have a huge fan base and community for it just like the EA developed Command & Conquer series which still gets released for PC and tools to develop maps and units/structures. The game would suffer about the same amount of piracy I believe. The Red Alert and Tiberium series have all gone to next gen levels for their PC releases as well.

well we can do a few things. Keep the current PC Live's updated and innovate them to kinda prove that there is still life for PC Live in this community, attempt to enjoy whatever they are working on the 360/PS3, or just say fudge it and support 2k10.

They didn't develop it. A 3rd party studio called HB Studios did it.

If it takes until 2011 for Live to release a PC as long as they put a majority of the features that we have asked for in the wishlist. From each year like (saving in the middle of a game, multiplayer dynasty, more crowd emotion, better generated rookies, less of the undersized especially sg, ten day contracts, being able to have more than 15 players and then send the remaining not in the 15 down the d-league.

That's not how it works though. The only way a team can have more than 15 players is through an injury exception, or during the offseason. Players assigned to a D-League team still count towards the 15 player limit as long as they also remain under contract to the NBA team.

Well, it saddens me to hear Live will not be coming out for the PC. I bought the 2k9 game, but it just didn't do it for me. I like my Live games, but I am not getting a console for this. Especially when the game used to play a huge role. I used to be addicted to the game. But the PC game went to the toilet with the few latest releases and have basically pushed me off of the game. I miss the time when I was so excited about Live that I could barely wait to get home to shoot some hoops, and with friends. It is all over... I don't know if I will ever buy another Live game again and just to be clear, I ain't buying the 2k version either. It's live or nothing for me.

I would have loved to have seen the cool new features for the new consoles on the PC games... Things were finally starting to move into the direction I wanted them to develop only to be disappointed by ugly-poor-as-shit PS2 ports for the PC. As sad as it is... I am done with NBA Live. I have been away from the forums so long and that alone is evidence of that.

I would have bought Live 10... I would have bought Live 09, if it was a PS3/xBox360 port... But I guess I will never buy another Live again. And I had them all for PC... And unfortunately it looks I will always have them all...

RIP NBA Live... It all went downhill in 2001 when the focus was switched to the consoles. No offense to Tim though (BTW, is he even on the Live team any more???)

Tim was last on the NBA Live team for NBA Live 07. He developed with the Fifa team after that, then he left EA fora new game company called BigPark with some other industry veterans, which has been bought by Microsoft. I don't know if he still works there.
