Fuck, I remember live 09,

Cyberfaces for Portraits

In terms of a 360 andrew, do you have to pay to use online gaming, in terms of xbox live???? That's what I have heard?? Plus the controls feel different to what i'm used to.

I have the money for either one, but thanks for your input dragon, andrew, jao, and bee-boy. :D :D :D :D :D :D

And to answer your question jaosming, yes, it is great that the websites are launched before, it was a nice welcome, seeing as there was hardly any info before that.

Psp version looks nice

You do have to pay for an XBL subscription if you want to play online. The Xbox 360 controller really isn't as cumbersome as you might expect though.

If you like games like Gears of War,Fable,Alan Wake,Splinter Cell(not sure about its being exclusive for a long time)... then buy X360.If you like God of War,Uncharted,Gran Turismo,MGS4,Killzone,Infamous,Heavy Rain the PS3 is the way you go.
For multiplatformal games buy the cheapest system - X360.

I mainly play sports games, but I don't want to pay for online play, so I am leaning towards a ps3, plus I am getting a full hd tv, so that makes the choice easier. I also love the Gran Turismo series.

Thanks!!!!!

I'm not digging the white outlines on the players in the Tony Parker pic. I recall that from like Live '06 (or was it '05, who can remember?) & nobody was a big fan.

Rest of pics look pretty solid though. Graphics aren't as important as smooth gameplay & framerate.

That'd be 2005. Could just be a work in progress issue with the lighting, it doesn't seem to be an issue with the rest of them.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the return to actual photographs for portraits. Much better. (Y)

If you look at the background of this screenshot, you can see that all of the fans are wearing yellow shirts. I am assuming that during the Playoffs the crowds will dress differently and react differently to certain plays.

Another thing, even for work-in-progress overall ratings those don't look too far off. Carter and Lewis could arguably be a bit higher, but the individual ratings are far more important and it depends how overalls are calculated in '10.

You're right. I like Live's rating system a lot more than 2K's. I my opinion, no one is good enough to be a 99. The highest ratings should be 96 or 97 (LeBron and Kobe).

I don't mind 99 overall players, it does give that sense of being as close to perfection as possible, but the problem is there's not a lot of room for growth. Still, with players who already in their prime or approaching it that's not unreasonable.

yeah i know what you mean. in games you still want players able to gain a overall point or two throughout the season so you know that they are progressing.

For me that's really only an issue with up-and-coming players though. One could try and develop players like Kobe and LeBron so that they're 99 overall, but you'll still be able to dominate with them even if you don't.

I would say there's very little that's "cartoonish" about the player models this year, though having not seen a lot of videos nor had any hands on experience we can't fairly praise the fluidity of the animations just yet.

Awesome graphics, if the gameplay improves as well, EA will finally dominate 2K. Im looking forward to see some gameplay footages coming.
