Much more depth and freedom to it from what I first thought it might be.

Thanks Yaw. (Y)

I don't think Dynamic Season will make Dynasty Mode obselete for me as I like the concept of multi-year play and all the other stuff Dynasty brings to the table in creating our own NBA "reality", but I'm going to have to make use of Dynamic Season as well. I really like the idea of being able to play any game on the schedule and not being locked to a single team and the way it will be merged with real season data actually sounds quite innovative. It sounds like a pretty good approach to letting people play along with the real NBA season and an appealing alternative for people who aren't completely into the Dynasty concept.

Andrew, I get the feeling that you'll get a lot of play out of Dynamic Season using the Bulls. You seem to like to stick very close to real life & play most/all games. Plus you might play the odd game with Bogut or maybe if you're trying to win the Central Division late in the season, you'll try to beat the Cavs with other teams

Of course, if Paxson has any more brain farts, it might be too much to bear & you might have to take GM responsibilities from him in Dynasy mode :P

If I am to get Live, I'm not sure how much I'd use this mode. But for the general NBA fan I think it's a good addition to the game. Let's hope they don't remove it from next year's game.

If I was to make suggestions to improve the mode (even without having played it) for future versions, why not allow people to export the season to Dynasty mode after it is complete, with Draft, offseason & so on. Some people like to keep it real for the current season, but then want to continue building team as they would after that.

Sounds like a great idea to me! (Y)

Absolutely. I think Dynamic Season is the way I'll take a break from Dynasty Mode as it'll be more meaningful than playing a string of exhibition games outside a Dynasty; in fact, outside getting used to the game, Dynamic Season will probably replace offline exhibition play for me. I'll still definitely be playing a Dynasty so that I can be a virtual GM and do all the things I enjoy doing in that mode. Hopefully I'll like the full version as much as I have the demo and I'll have the best of both worlds with those two modes, the familiar Dynasty experience and the new means of playing along with the current season.

I just don't think I could abandon Dynasty Mode and you're quite right, John Paxson has something to do with that. ;)

Best way to look at is like fantasy league like from Yahoo or CBS and NBA.com with the results/stats from real world games but with the ability to alter results.

Sort of, yeah. It's basically similar to the old single season concept where you could take control of multiple teams, only making use of Dynamic DNA, automatic roster updates and real world data filling in for the sim engine, so it's still pretty innovative.

This is the type of thing i've been waiting for. I'm definitely the type of person they geared this towards. I usually play one season and by season two im ready to start with someone else. And back in the day i use to try and make the trades as they happen in the nba. this does all the work for me. (Y) :applaud:

i jus hope there is a way to maybe override injuries. cause if wade or beasley get hurt first month of the season and end up being out the whole time that would suck. i would want to atleast have the opportunity to play the season out to see what would happen if wade or beasley was there. atleast in the games i play.

That's a good point. I'm not entirely confident that we'd be able to change the lineups seeing as though the DNA for each game also includes the rosters, which mean inactive players in real life will also be inactive for those games in Dynamic Season. In all fairness, an override might kind of defeat the purpose of the mode but I'd agree it would be handy to have for anyone who wants to ignore the injuries.

That'd be difficult to prove. The idea could've been in the works from the time they worked out the deal with Synergy, I'm sure other people have posted similar ideas and if the Wishlists has proven anything, it's that you can't get paid for suggesting things. However, I've got to hand it to you on that post as you've pretty much nailed Dynamic Season a year before it was in the game. (Y)

Why not have a "Dynamic League" where you can join with a bunch of other people, everyone plays through one full season (if you miss a game the other team you were playing against' result goes, so if im celtics and i have a celtics vs bulls game on and i dont play it, then the bulls players result becomes my result for the game. if neither player plays then the real life result becomes the result for both players).

At the end of the season it becomes a dynamic playoff and the games are played online against each other to take out the title.

Why not indeed? That could be a popular expansion of the mode in future years, though I'm sure any kind of online Dynasty mode would be well received, troublesome issues not withstanding.
