Superstar

So, I am browsing the internet, checking out the competition (2k10) and there it is. Draft Combine and 2k10 My Player Mode (Superstar Mode). I was a bit dissappointed to the say the least. It may not even be that good, but at least they have it. WHAT THE HELL IS EA WAITING ON?????

I mean, I'm sure alot of true LIVE fans have said these words: "I wish LIVE had a superstar mode like Madden" or "Imagine how tight/awesome/off the chain it would be if you play Supertar Mode in LIVE" And, I'm quiter sure the EA reads the many forums and blogs from gamers. So again, WHAT THE HELL ARE WE WAITING ON????

Based on that feature alone, I know many diehard LIVE fans have or have thought about switching to 2k. I mean, so far from what I seen in the videos and blogs, this LIVE will be the best yet and I've been playing since LIVE 95, however....for every good thing LIVE does, 2k finds a way to put piss on EAs sunshine. So again, WHAT THE HEEL ARE WAITING ON??

EA is expected to have a fully done "Be A Pro" mode this year which was teased in 09.

But, Live 10 was supposed to also have Tip Dunks so who knows. Nothing is confirmed either for or against the mode yet.

Maybe EA has a reason there isn't a full Superstar/Be A Pro mode. I don't know why there isn't one in the game, because Madden has one and there EA also. But, maybe there is some reason it hasnt been put into NBA Live yet..Because I highly doubt they're just not putting on in or even attempting to put on in..I'm sure theres a good reason it's not in Live yet :/

Here's the catch though: with some of the other issues in recent NBA Live games, I'm sure there'd be a fairly vocal contingent who would respond to the presence of a fully featured Superstar mode with "Why have they wasted time on this when gameplay/Feature X still has (insert issue here)?". And to a certain extent, that would be a fair call as the quality of a Superstar Mode would be brought down if the gameplay isn't up to scratch.

I guess I'm a little biased when it comes to the Superstar Mode concept though, as I'm a much bigger fan of the Season/Dynasty Mode approach.

EA had to fix the gameplay first before you can enjoy the features. It used to be the other way around

Be A Pro isn't an NBA Live exclusive mode, if they did have it I'm sure it'd just be ported to a large degree from the version FIFA and whatever other EA games have. So I doubt it would be taking too much time away from other tasks that could be achieved.

Maybe so, though I'm sure it would still be deemed pointless if the gameplay didn't live up to expectations. But as I said before, I guess I don't see it as an absolutely crucial mode because I'm more of a Dynasty player and there's things I'd rather see done there before a fully fledged Be a Pro Mode is introduced. That said, we're still yet to find out what Live Run is and we don't have an official fact sheet yet so it remains to be seen as to what - if anything - has been done with Be a Pro this year.

I understand if people want super star mode, but please 2k doesn't beat live just because they have superstar mode. live has implemented a lot of stuff the dynamic dna, be a pro mode, the new hanger, tip ins, behind the back passess, the new control passing, the live run, player specific before game routines, players specific dribble setup moves, hustle plays. Not to mention gameplay is looking really sick (in a good way) this year. even the traveling that was in the 2min gameplay shows that the game is realistic because nba players travel all the time, Garnett tipping the ball to save it from going out of bounds while he is off balance, i'll take this stuff all day of superstar mode. 2k can have that the fact is from all that live has displayed so far simply says "We are Back". Now as to what is better 2k and live I think its left up to the eye of the beholder but there is no way a neutral person can say oh 2k is dominating live. Personally i think that the 2k first traliors looks terrible but to each there on. For me live is doing it.

You're about as neutral as a Black Panther in a KKK rally. You mentioned the new hangar third and the gameplay eleventh. That tells me all I need to know.
