Trophy Submission Thread

Let me start of by saying that I am a trophy whore (lol). I am also at work and have some time to kill and saw that the board was a little dead. I know everyone is excited to see more videos this week and don’t have a lot to talk about till then so I took the liberty to try and spark some conversation. I have come up with some ideas and thought I’d post them. Mind you I don’t like easy trophies, even though I am a TW, but I figured this will be an awesome game with a lot of replay value. So don’t let some of the trophies scare you off. Numbers are always easily changed. I did think some of the silver and gold trophies should pose some challenge. I researched some NBA records for assists and 3pt FG in a half. It is just something to strive for, right guys/gals? I am also TOTAL against online trophies being a requirement to obtain platinum. I understand it is mainly to get players to utilize the online features of games but I still am against it, in some games. I made the online trophies fairly easy to obtain considering some of the other requirements. Well, here are my thoughts, like I said they are just within the last hour, so maybe we can all pool together and get some different ideas and come up with a master list. Or just hope developers will take a peek and put some of these ideas in. GAME ON!!!!!!!!



Bronze Trophies

Don’t Go Home Yet – Play 5 overtime games
Not In My House – Obtain 5 blocks in one game with a single player
Steal the Show – Obtain 5 steals with a single player
Round Mound of Rebound – Obtain 15 rebounds with a single player
The Best Things in Life are Free – Shoot 100% from the free throw line with a player (min. 5 attempts)
Win 10 games Online



Silver Trophies

Triple Threat – Record 5 Triple Doubles in a season/franchise with one player
NBA Iron Man – Have a man on the roster that plays all 82 games
Curtain Call – Hit a game winning shot
3Mendous – Make 8 3pt FG in a half
Win 50 games Online


Gold Trophies

Three the Hard Way – While making a 3pt play, get fouled, and then make the free throw.
Droppin Dimes – Record 30 assists with a player
Win 200 games Online

Platinum

Obtain all NBA Live trophies

I would think that more people are familiar with the Xbox 360's Achievement System, but all I can say is that I hope they have player specific Achievements/Trophies this year.

Nice ideas, hopefully the Achievements/Trophies will be along those lines (I'd say they've already been decided). The only one I'm not really a fan of would be winning 200 games online, that's more than a lot of people would probably want to go through if they just want to get 100% completion. If there's any Achievement/Trophy linked to a number of games/wins in online play, I'd set it much lower, maybe even 10 tops. I guess it certainly would encourage a lot of online play though.

I like the idea of having a mix of Achievements/Trophies that encourage you to give all game modes a try and put some effort into doing things you might not normally bother doing (like trying to equal or tie an NBA record) but I also think there should be a decent amount of trophies that happen "organically" in the process of playing the game, a few basic ones that the average player is bound to get simply by playing the game enthusiastically. I think that in turn encourages the player to chase some of the harder tasks for those Achievements/Trophies.
