Hi!
For a long time i've been thinking about what's wrong with NBA Live and what's holding it back from being better than NBA 2k.
And from my point of view the problems are on court weaknesses. The players are basically robots, by that i mean that the animations are not smooth at all, they're slow and they ruin the whole game. I'm not just pointing out the shooting animations or dunking animations but all animations including the animations for dribbling the ball. It may look realistic when watching gameplay videos but when the controller is in your hands the whole basketball experience get ruined.
Now probably many of you disagree but listen to my solution:
Instead of just updating a broken game with some new modes EA Canada should try to complement the already good parts of the game(game modes for example) with other good things from other games that they have rights to. EA Canada should from my perspective take the on court action from "NBA Street Homecourt", adjust it to the nba style of play and add all the good game mods from the NBA live series. NBA Street Homecourt was tributed for it's
smooth animations. Now maybe you think this is crazy

but think about it, NBA Street Homecourt
on court action but without crazy alley-opps, dunks ,dribbles and instead with worked out thoroughly jumpshots, post moves (etc etc.. all kinds of nba stuff). I promised if EA Canada would start working in this direction the NBA Live series would kick 2k series ass.
What do you think
