Membership Limitation Error (XBL)

Tue Nov 03, 2009 10:56 pm

I'm currently following this one up with EA, but is anyone else receiving an error message about Xbox Live Membership Limitations when trying to access their inbox in the Player Hub or send out invitations for leagues/Brotherhoods? Normally this would point to a subscription issue, but my Gold Membership is definitely valid, making it quite a puzzling issue.

Anyway, if anyone else is experiencing a similar problem please let me know; the more info we can give EA about issues like this, the better.

I had this problem but I ended up correcting it by going into the settings for Xbox live somehow. Sorry I can't help much more than that, because it was last year. :(

I kept having trouble joining or creating an online dynasty. I kept receiving the error message in the topic field when attempting to join or create an online dynasty. I found the solution for the error message.

This error message refers to your privacy settings within your Xbox LIVE account. You have to be signed-in to Xbox LIVE to change your privacy settings. Make sure you have your privacy set to allow content from everyone. You also need a GOLD membership to access all online features.

To change your privacy settings, in the Xbox Dashboard or Xbox Guide, select your Gamercard, then select Edit Gamer Profile, Privacy Settings. Change the "Member Content" to 'Everyone'.

Someone had that problem in NCAA Football 09, try it and see if it works.

Ah, that could be it. I'll doublecheck my settings, now that you mention it I have a feeling I might have changed that erroneously when updating my profile recently. Thanks for the heads up. (Y)

EDIT: Yes, that appears to have done the trick. Thanks again!
