I’m not going to sit here and sell or convince you on how great NBA LIVE 10 is going to be…I’m going to sit back and let the game do the talking.

The more screenshots and videos, even if only beta, is worth it

It's definitely reassuring to hear that gameplay has been the focus without any allusions to anything gimmicky or whatever and I definitely hope it succeeds. I felt NBA Live 09 on the 360 was on the right track, hopefully '10 can take things to the next level. Being a Dynasty guy I hope there's a couple of additions and fixes in there too but if the gameplay delivers the goods I'll be a lot more enthusiastic about playing through a Dynasty right off the bat.

A couple of things that caught my eye:

By the time the game ships in early October, you guys will know it all and will have played the demo to see for yourselves what we’ve pulled off this year.

I take it that means the September 28th release date might not be the case.

We’re still going to be offering a daily DNA update plus something that should blow you guys away. Not going to divulge anything at this point…except for the fact that there will be a lot of guys who were posting wish lists or ideas about the next steps for DNA throughout the past 6 or 7 months that are going to be pumped about it.

Anyone care to start speculating? I'm wondering if there'll be some tie-in with Dynasty Mode, though that would be quite difficult to accomplish given Dynasty allows you to develop players independently of what's going on in the real NBA and of course, make your own trades and signings.

I know this game will be tight, because when they release 09, they went straight to fixing the gameplay. As soon as Live gets that Realism, it's over for 2k lol.

OMG OTP was the best thing on Live these past couple of years and now they say it will take on a whole "new" meaning.. Oh man Live 10 is my most antcipated sports game and I hope it doesnt disappoint like I think FNR4 will..

I hope they bring back 1 on 1 soon....This feature hasn't been in the game since live 06 for the console!!!!

I'm definitely not against that, but I'd like to see them bring back the standalone Playoffs Mode first.

and how about those cut scenes where the refs check if the basket is good in every buzzer beater, i love that scene i haven't seen it since live 2004 or 2005.

They were in 06 and I believe 07 and 08 too, at least for the PC.

Thanks, appreciate the heads up. It doesn't reveal a whole lot about NBA Live '10 but it's nice to get a bit of insight into the development of the Virtual Playbook.

Thanks for the heads up. Nothing in the way of NBA Live '10 news unfortunately but not much they can do until they get the go-ahead from PR so it's understandable.

Yeah but still 2 blogs inside a week is interesting they are still keeping up some communication instead of going quiet for a week.

Absolutely. I don't think a couple of the people that commented on the blog post really get that though.
