dynamic season mode

does anyone play the new dynamic season mode? i tried it its pretty cool but idk it doesnt seem that special to me i would just rather play dynasty mode.

I've started a Dynamic Season. I could never leave the Dynasty Mode concept behind completely as I like the whole "create your own reality" and multi-season play aspects, but in light of Dynasty Mode's sim engine problems this year it might not be too bad a substitute if realistic stats are what you're after. I think that it has a place in the game and I'd like to see it become a fixture, but certainly not as a replacement for Dynasty Mode; rather, just another option.

i played toronto vs cavs yesterday before the actual game and lost that game. funny thing is i started the game with bargnani scores just like real life.

Personally i don't see how dynamic season is THAT special.....it's like the rewind games except you can now play before or after. There is no real reward except that the result might be different from what really happens and you can keep replaying the game.

weird option in my opinion....they could have left the rewind as it was and then added something to the dynasty or some mini games.

It caters to people who'd like to play a season that closely mirrors the real NBA season through the use of real world data, with the exact rosters and updated ratings/DNA being used throughout the year. That is something people have asked for in previous Wishlists and while I'm still a Dynasty geek at heart, I think the Dynamic Season concept is pretty cool.

Even if it does make use of the Rewind feature, it's hardly just a rebranding because you are still playing a season and you still get to compete in the Playoffs according to your custom results merged with real world results. As the producers have put it, it's essentially a single season mode that uses real world data as the sim engine. I think there's value in that and a call for it in NBA Live as it delivers an experience that people have been asking for, but having said that there are some improvements and additions that desperately need to be made to Dynasty Mode and I hope that happens with NBA Live 11.

yeah i see the merging of the two seasons, but for instance i played a game yesterday and i used sonny wems of toronto instead of antoine wright.....what are the consequenses? what did i really gain from this? is it gonna compare the games? what is my objective? making the playoofs, finals and winning a championship?

i can replay the games so i can go 82-0

lets say sonny weems gets injured in real life and i am playing him in my dynamic season.........suddenly i can't use him? wouldn;t that be annoying?

i see that it could be good, but i can also see that it needs some work to be better.

In a nutshell yes, if you elect to play with only one team.

The idea is that you're playing alongside the 2009/2010 NBA season, making use of the roster updates and the updated player DNA so players will streak in your season at the same time they are in real life. You can choose to just play as one team, or several if you want to sample a wide variety of teams during the season. In a way you're creating your own NBA reality as with Dynasty Mode and previous incarnations of single season mode, but it's being merged with real world data instead of relying on a sim engine to generate stats.

It could be, it depends what you want out of the game. Dynamic Season is catering to a fairly specific desire of people who want to play a season that accurately reflects what's going on in real life as much as possible, so to that end you're not in control of player injuries or trades. For that, we have Dynasty Mode.

It's not for everyone and like I said before, I'm still a Dynasty player at heart. But I do like the Dynamic Season concept and I think there's a place for it in the game as an alternative to Dynasty Mode.

I got a dna roster and started a Dynamic Season. But what the hell; starting linups are f*cked up, lots of rooks with no images still, no live stats, didn't get the update for ps3 neither...

C'mon it's the second year (the kinks ought to be out), we're 4 days into the season, why can't they get it right?
