This has apparently had concerning reviews about the writer. Over on Operation Sports forums the feeling is that he isn't a basketball fan I'll let you read it and let you share your thoughts. I will read it later personally and will share my thoughts.

Not shocked to see fanboys shooting the messenger. (Especially over something that's basically a vat of praise and two drops of criticism, both wiped away with the standard "don't worry, I'm sure they'll fix it by release" card.)

That said, there are very few hardcore sports gamers at any of the major game publications. Especially if it's not Madden.

Yeah, doesn't seem all that negative to me. At its most negative, it still seems at least cautiously optimistic.
