anyone notice how these videos take away from the actual game. . .09 looked like shit compared to when it's on my TV. When I load this game up, This game is gonna look amazing. You can't really tell from these videos

I thought the 09 version of KG looked a little better in that comparison too, though I think the others favour NBA Live 10.

The Hangar is looking like a decent enough concept, a bit of a mix between the "Temple" approach and the NBA Academy. I still highly doubt it's this year's attempt at innovation, just something somewhat new that they're willing to talk about and show off before other things. If there's a learning curve with the change to the controls it should be a decent place to get the hang of things, though I'm glad the Academy approach is going to remain in place for Dynasty Mode as a team specific practice court is better for the Dynasty atmosphere.

I paused at the part where Dwight goes up for the dunk in the hangar. The tip reads:

"Dunking: Pull and hold RT and press X to try and dunk the ball. Remember to keep the left stick held towards the basket."

Sure does. 09 players weren't that bad except for the shadow eye sockets and low specularity. I think KG could look good in 10 if they just improved the normal map on his face.

PDub, I wonder what that normal map actually is. Is it something like alpha channel or it's the main texture?

It's an image that is applied to a model in such a way to give it more definition through lighting and shading. It's not like Live for PC's alpha channel.
