is there a way to counter the quit cheat?

is there anyway to stop someone from pausing last second and quitting to avoid a loss? i just played a 4 game set and 3 of 4 did this. this wasnt an issue in 07, you just got a 70-0. i dont think i can play this game anymore if there is no fix.
