thoughts on these trades?how 2 get DENG on clippers?

Corey Maggette and Paul Davis for Mickael Pietrus and Monta Ellis


Quentin Ross and Alvin Williams for Mickael Gelabale and Johan Petro, both from the Sonics


How could the Clippers trade for Luther Head, Rafer Alston, or Leandro Barbosa?
-probably have to involve Maggette?

The first deal seems alright since you're getting two quality players coming the other way. The second deal seems a bit redundant, though Gelabale and Petro are younger than Williams so there's development potential there.

2 more questions:

how could i devise a way to get luther head or alston?

Maggette and filler for Loul Deng, could I do it? if not, how?

Maggette for Deng would be tough. Maggette is rated higher but his contract is also more than twice as much as Deng's current deal. You'd probably have to turn that one into a mini blockbuster to get it to work.

Shaun Livingston for Rafer Alston will work straight up. Head is difficult since he's rated 75 overall but his contract is small. You'd probably have to work out a package that includes both to make it work under the cap.
