Dynasty Mode Schedule Error

Thu Aug 02, 2007 5:31 am

Since my last two problems have been solved quite effectively, here's my third:

When I use Andrew's latest roster in Dynasty mode, as soon as I finish hiring my staff and complete training camp, I get a schedule that is completely blank. The only things that show up are the All Star weekend. I've noticed that when I hire staff some interesting things occur. If I hire two coaches as the Sonics new GM, when I go to assign training to each coach, a third one, who I did not hire, pops up after the first two who's specialty is rebounding.

Anyway, I'm not sure what to do about this one, it happens regardless of if I use the Sonics or not.

Any Ideas?

I just tried starting a dynasty with Andrew's roster and I get duplicates of the assistants for some reason. There are two of each assistants and that could be causing the problem. It's not the roster.

Look at every team's coaches, they all have two assistant head coaches. It's like each team already had their staff filled and when you start the dynasty you sign more staff which causes a conflict with the scheduling. Look at the event scheduling. "Events have been scheduled for the next -732977 days."

Guess what I did to produce this result? I deleted the "originaldb" directory inside the "My Documents/NBA Live 07/database" directory. After restoring it, I didn't have that problem. You can get the files from your "EA SPORTS/NBA Live 07\database\Origdb" directory to restore them.

Alright, that's what I did and it worked for me, thanks.

The roster shouldn't cause any problems like that since it doesn't add any staff. Odd.

It wasn't the roster, it was missing files in the originaldb directory. I figured it as much since that's where the schedule files are located and used when creating a dynasty. I updated my post so nobody confuses the cause.

Ah, I see. Good to know. :)

Well my problem was solved so its all valuable information. I had just replaced my working db files from the ones off the CD, but my current db folder has always been empty. I just placed the original db files from the main directory in that folder and it fixed the problems.

Anyway, thanks for the help, 3 for 3.
