Meet The World

Postby Joe' on Fri May 25, 2007 6:34 am

I just found a really interesting campaign that portrays current topics in some countries through the countries' flags. It's called "Meet the world" and it was published on Grande Reportagem, a Portuguese magazine.

It's incredible how fucked up the world is. So much that a country's issues can be portrayed through that country's flag.

Anyway, I found this really interesting, as I didn't know some things, and wanted to share it with you.
Here's the link.
Dear Old World, you represent everything that's wrong...

That's really cool.

I'm probably just weird, but I really like to know whats going on different countries. Even the third world ones.

We learn about so much, but I haven't been taught anything about South America, Africa, Oceania, and Asia (with the exception of the USSR and China).

This is a simplistic way of conveying the most pressing issue. Very cool.

I'd say the red is for people who are lumberjacks and the white is for curlers. There is no other occupation in Canada except for professional polar bear wrestling.

I'd say there's nothing weird about that, it's good to know some people are actually interested in the world they live in. (Y)
From experience, I know it's definitely a major need for improvement when it comes to education in the US, kids should learn much more about that at school.

I've met the world. Too much so. Happens if you move around.

Anyways, that idea was very creative, thanks for sharing, they ought to do more flags.
