NBA Live 07 Won't Run Anymore

Thu May 03, 2007 9:35 am

Today, when I popped in my CD for the game, the Auto-Run message came up as usual, asking whether I wanted to play, install, or get patches for the game (among other options). I clicked play, and a message popped up saying that I needed to insert the correct DVD-ROM.

I have been running the game fine since I got it until now, and my CD/DVD drive works fine since I had just played The Godfather a moment ago.

I also checked my disc to see if it was scratched or anything, but I don't think it is. Also, when I try to run it from a shortcut icon (from my Quick Lanch bar or my Start Menu), the same thing pops up.

My computer is a Dell E510 with an Intel Pentium D 2.8Ghz, ATi Radeon x600, and 1GB of RAM if that helps.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

Well, when part of his question includes a part where he says he put the CD in the ROM, it kind of blows your opinion into retardation, wouldn't you say? That'd be like you saying, "I looked in the fridge and couldn't find the butter." and me replying with, "In my opinion, you didn't look in the fridge." Ya dig?

this happenng with me, and its not priated and use i used my key from the back of the manual. i'll add below a post of what said about it.

i might have posted on the board here, but right now i i dont wher i have posted it to. so put in here.

i realize this out of place but here goes

i'm running a dual boot system, vista and xp, but am having problems with the install of nbalive 07. the disk is fine and installs in both os fine, but it wont run in one os, but runs fine in the other.
the message i get is something along the lines of please instert the right dvd and restart the program.

i know im doing that, the disk runs fine as i said in the other in one os , but the other, the disk is clean, as i checked that first. tried uninstall and reinstall, not helping, ran virus scans, nothing there, and ad-scans, nothing helped there. i even took it out of the regersty using regedit

what suggestions does anyone have.

and post 2 to repsone of things asked of me

it, we can elementate os comaptibaly issue, as it ran on both before, and to answer the second part first, the os is xp pro

the reaosn i know it runs on both is i've had it running no both but a couple weeks ago, i messaged my os's i had to reinstall them. i wnt to restall xp, and stuck in the work disk, causing it cause with the bootloader, so i had to start agian and put both os back in, each there own hd. first xp then vista as it this to make vista the defualt boot if i dont slect xp during boot.

now nbalive is the only thing i have isn't working on both os's that can. the os's "Documents" share a drive together, but not the game folder. each as there own.
this is only cross pint of the game to the os's.

i dont know if there any clues in that that some can get to help out here for us, i dont beleive as this is apperantly not a single case of this happening.

ea fourms even as posted fo tips about this issue, and done that, and not of help to me, so we go i dont know.
if we can figure out, i'd appericate it.

I got it figured out, it turns out that for some reason, I needed to reboot the computer before playing it (even thoguh I've had Live installed since I got it).

Well anyways, it works now. And no, my copy is not pirated. I bought it from Buy.com about two weeks after it came out.

I hope you figure out the problem mcoll86-2, good luck :) Sorry that I can't help.
