Some Noobie questions about controls PLEASE HELP!!

Im using Markarian's solution of freestyle. Im using PPJOY as my virtual joy stick and the keyboard setting is exactly like his. Everything works fine (I noticed that in this game itz super star + z axis buttons instead of super star + shoot and etc) but how do I do those crazy crazy moves? since i bind the analog thing to keys and i cant really rotate them 
and how come the settings dont getz saved. I changed resulution to 1280x1024 then when i start the game again itz back to 640x somehting...
and gameplay settings got reset too! is there something I can do? like a patch I should download???
P.S. the game looks quite nice O.O VIDEO CLIPS!

oh my god.... I dont get this game!!!! how do I use any super star moves or any star moves!?!? how do use defensive star moves!?!? this game is soo much harder than NBA LIVE 06!!!!!

yea im never able to do those crazy super star moves and dunks.. its really frustrating
