Talk about NBA Live 07 here.

I don't want to get in the middle of any personal arguments here but I would like to assure everyone that I do try to remain aware of any personal bias when I'm considering suggestions and updating the ratings (including my own when I'm updating the Bulls' players), so I do always look into stats further when suggestions are posted before I make up my mind as to whether a particular rating should be changed. Obviously I would hope that everyone is being as objective as possible but I will avoid making changes that aren't appropriate.

Hi Andrew! How there in Australia man!?
I have some sugestions for your next roster from russia:
1. Physical part:
-Joe Jhonson have speed and quckness only 75, but in life i saw his games he is not lower than Josh Howard or others players with the same style of movemments. And in NBA Live 06 he was with speed and quickness 80, he don't became lower, so take a look on him too.
-Ron Artest speed. He is one of the best perimetr deffensive players in the league, but in game he have speed less than B.Wallace =)) And it's impossible to make pressure on players like Kobe with Ron and 69 speed. In life he can do this. Take a look on him too please
-Deron Williams power. It's just 35

That looks like lol hehe. He is like kidd like Chris Paul something like 50 power it's normal for him and 1.1 stelas per game make him not last deffender in the game
2. Scoring part:
-Only one sugestion: Joe Jhonson with 25 points per game and absolutly leader in Atlanta havent SS level of scorer outside. I think this is not right, make a lil atention on him too
Greetz and good luck Andrew!

Hi, Andrew!
Chris Paul has great hands which make him probably the best stealer in the league. His steal rating should be increased for sure. Also I think he is better from beyond the arc than he currently rated.
Vince Carter made a lot of buzzerbeaters this season but he has clutch only 79. I think his clutch rating should be increased.
Ricky Davis is more consistent defender than he currently rated. Please take another look at him.
That's all for now. Thanks for your time.

Just some transaction info for you, Andrew. The Clippers signed Will Conroy and waived Zeljko Rebraca. I am assuming his contract is the minimum.

Anyone else has the game crashing, when trying to use Uninjured roster update of Andrew's in Dynasty Mode?? Mine keeps crashing on loading window after settings.
BAH...The undraft, did help.
Sun Apr 08, 2007 6:01 am
Andrew, I think that Marcus Camby is a very good passer for a big man like him, yet his passing rating is only about 38 I believe.
Another thing that really bothers me is the contracts of players like Chris Webber and Eddie Jones. Those players still have the same contracts like in their old teams. Right now their playing under a veteran minimum contract.
I hope this information helps

There shouldn't be any problems, I've tested both rosters thoroughly. Are any error messages displayed when the game crashes?
Sun Apr 08, 2007 12:39 pm
that happens to me also
Sun Apr 08, 2007 12:58 pm
As I said I test both versions of the roster thoroughly before release so there shouldn't be any problems. Are any error messages displayed when the game crashes? Also, have you modified the dbf files in any way?
Sun Apr 08, 2007 1:24 pm
when i click the load/save it crashes to desktop and theres a message saying like "send error report, don't send error report" i did not edit the dbf
Sun Apr 08, 2007 1:54 pm
That's a strange one, usually those crashes refer to a dbf error. I'd suggest restoring the original dbf files in the database folders (workingdb, currentdb, originaldb etc) as there might be a conflict/corruption there.

I think that Jason Kidd shoul deserve bigger 3pt rating, he has only 64
he deserves more than that because he have in nba 35,1% 3pt shooting

Thanks for the heads up.

Hi, Andrew!
How about giving FSS Shooter to Luther Head? I'm still impressed of his recent game against Warriors when he scored 30 points and made 7 of 9 threepointers. By the way two days ago against Kings he made 4 of 4 from beyond the arc. In this season his fg% is .433, 3pt% is .437 and ft% is.796(
http://www.nba.com/playerfile/luther_head/). I think he realy deserves giving him FSS Shooter.
He reminds me a lot of Cuttino Mobly when he played in Rockets. I think if Mobley has Shooter icon then Head definetly should have same one.
That's all for now. Thanks for your time.

A lot of the superstars are not defensive studs- Kobe, Arenas, Lebron, Bosh, Stoudemire etc etc.Maybe you should look into reducing their stats somewhat defensively?

Sorry, I won't be doing that.

are you sure? =)

Okay. But it kinda strange when someone like Matt Carrol with FG% .433, 3pt% .416 and 1.5 threepointer made per game has FSS Shooter while Luther Head with FG% .433, 3pt% .437 and 2.2 threepointer made per game doesn't have FSS.
But as I said that's okay. Every man has his own opinion. I just gave suggestion.
By the way Al Jefferson makes 1.5 block per game. I think he should be FSS Inside Stopper.
And Jamaal Tinsley one of the best playmakers in the league. He makes 6.9 assist per game. I think he should be FSS Playameker. Also he is good defender. He makes 1.6 steal 0.3 block per game. FSS Outside Stopper also will be good for him.

lol man=))
Agreed with ru_roll. Kobe and LeBron are among the best defenders in the league. And others whom you mentioned aren't bad too.

Andrew, are you going to put Wade back at Miami in the sunday-update?
I hope so

It wouldn't be much of a current roster update if I didn't update the rosters so they were current. Any transactions will be made and current lineups will be reflected.

Hi Andrew!
I have some suggestion for you:
C.Anthony: His Inside Scoring is about 84, but hi is scoring very much from inside. In fact C.Bosh has 89(ins.Scoring) he is shooting: (297-484[0.614]) inside, and Melo shoots: (417-685[0.609]) inside. Check up pliz

I really think that Anthony Parker deserves a star shooter mark.
He's shooting .425 for 3 this season and the Raps use him as a set shooter very well.
Hi Andrew!
1. I agree with S.R.N.O that Anthony Parker deserves to be a star shooter. He has FG 47.5 and 3PT 43.6, that it is much better that many other players which are shooters! Enougth to watch last games where Anthony was scoring almost 4 3pts for a match on the average with percent 50 ! Also Anthony Parker is the best stopper outside in Toronto, doing one steal on the average for a match, I think that his deffensive awarnes and steal rating are underrated!
2. Monta Ellis has jump 55! He is super dunker with height 6.3. I think his jump should be something like 80 - 90. Also with 1.6 steals his deffensive parametrs like steal and aware shoot be better
3. Jason Terry have percent of throws FG 48.6 3PT 44! He is one of the best snipers in NBA also I think he deserves to be SS shooter.
4. Caron Butler does 2.1 steals per game - the second in all league in steals. I think it deserves to be SS stopper.
5. Gerald Wallace was named 2 times best player in the East, registered 25 points and having more than 18 points on the average in a season there are more, but thus has ratings of throws FG 65, 3PT 53 and inside rating 63!!! His percent of throws this season FG 50.2 3PT 32 (0.5 - 1.7) Inside 58. I think he realizes the open throws not worse Merion, and 3 pts not worst than Carmelo Anthony with also 0.5 3pt made per match, but with percent 24.8 (3PT rating Anthony 72!)
6. Emeka Okafor is more small and more quick than D.Howard but if compare Howard have quickness 67 Okafor only 64.
Thanks for your time.
